Reward offered in killing of does, fawns near Willcox A reward of up to $4,000 is being offered by Arizona Game and Fish for information on the slaughter of nine mule deer does and fawns near Willcox last week. The incident happened sometime before Dec. 1 when the deer were either run over by a vehicle or shot in a field in the Bonita area north of Willcox, and left there to waste, said Mark Hart, a Game and Fish spokesman. “This is not hunting or done by hunters, this was someone out joy riding and thrill killing wildlife,” John Bacorn, a department manager, said in a news release. “Not only were the deer senselessly killed, but some of the farmer’s crop was needlessly damaged and ruined by the vehicle.” Anyone with information is asked to call Operation Game Thief at 1-800-352-0700.

depends on the year..., if it is dry like this year is so far, it would be a good bet. We used to sit clients on waterholes down in 36c in Jan. for the archery season, with some luck. We would spend the morning glassing and trying our luck at spot and stalk, but come 10am we would go sit them at a tank until late afternoon. The Coues deer usually come to water between 11am and 3pm.

So let me understand this. When the govt. legalizes pot and puts a tax on it to get the us out of debt, the cartels will go out of business? Yeah right! If you are a pot head and want to buy a ounce of pot, are you going to buy from the guy who is selling it for $50 + 40% tax, or are you going to buy it form the guy selling it for $50 with no tax added. The cartels wont be collecting tax....

From what I heard, correct me if I am wrong, they are 20 officers short of the minimum, and only had 4 in the last academy... The first thing they need to do is a pay raise. The G&F looses many to other departments that pay more. I think AZ is one of the lowest paying agencies.
