Went calling today and had a fox come in so quick that he was at my feet before I had time to react. He was literally 1 foot from the end of my shotgun barrel. Obviously I'm not going to shoot with a shot gun at one foot. What are some tricks you have learned to help diffuse this situation, and let the fox move on but not take off running at full speed. This has happened to me several times.

I knew a guy who several years ago had the fox pounce on him and bite and scratch up his face pretty good. Needless to say he had to get rabies shots... I was not as concerned as much about that as I was actually getting them to hang around long enough to get a clean shot at...

I support the Rosemont copper mine. The jobs and tax revenue it will be bring to Pima County outweigh the negatives! I have hunted in that area for years and am not concerned about the mine.
