North half of 35b is now severely restricted no due to Silver Mine. This is mostly from the crest line to the east and north of the 4701 road and south of red mountain. The fenced area is also on both sides of Harshaw road.

Harshaw road is paved almost all the way to the 4701 rd now... the mine put up a 8ft high chain link fence around their entire mine...huge area!

I wish I was kidding! This is one of those guys you meet and he starts talking about hunting and right away you know you dont want anything to do with him. The thing that sucks is he keeps getting drawn for good tags...while I sit here on my couch and dream of a tag.

Well...I just got the text today...he is now up to 5 bulls shot and not found. All I can do is shake my head! Some hunters are just hopeless...

Oh he has got the ethics talk...like 3 years ago when he did same thing in 3A/C... that's why I dont hunt with him! But this is not just this guy, but hundreds of others doing the same thing in other units. Talked to a guy in the archery shop before the hunts who was bragging about shooting 6 bulls on his last hunt in 5A... wonder how many he has shot this hunt? The reason I bring these up, is because G&F needs to hopefully calculate this into their numbers and this might explain some of the declining elk numbers...

Or maybe game and fish trying to keep harvest numbers down...lol

So far...he has the whole hunt off from work...so we could get to double digits before its over

Not kidding! You guys are kidding yourself if you dont think this is happening in every open unit right now by multiple hunters! G&F needs to change the hunter questionnaire to say "How many Elk did you shoot and not recover?" I was taught different... If I shoot an animal and cant recover...my hunt is over. But this is unfortunately not the mentality of most hunters who had to wait 10 years to draw their tag. They feel entitled to keep hunting to fill their tag since they had to wait so long to get the tag.
