Fire has made a southward move now, and wind blowing at Sonoita

Fire started at the shooting spot just before bridge on box canyon. The fire pushed all the way thru box canyon and thru the houses on Greaterville road. It then jumped hwy 83 and burned into the Empire Cieniega ranch area in unit 34B. It then raced north east towards the Narrows and is now bearing down on J6 Ranchetts and I-10. Hwy 83 is closed. If this makes it to I-10 it to will be closed and Benson will be in the path. Tonight the fire is back creeping into sawmill east, Fish Canyon towards Gardner canyon in 34A. It looked to have gotten to the radio towers at Melendez Pass tonight around sunset. High winds expected for tomorrow...not good news.

Not sure what other serious hunters see, but I always here "hunters" saying that deer don't hit salt in the winter... Since I got serious about putting trail cams on salt licks several years ago, I can now say that more bucks hit salt licks in December and January than in August/September. Here is just a sample...

With buckeyes you set up your Cell Base up somewhere you have service, then you can set up to 254 buckeye cameras and repeaters off of that one cell base. Only the Cell base needs cell service. The 2 mile range is with standard antenna. I use some Omni, and Yagi antennas and have gotten up to 16 mile range. I know others who have gotten close to 30 mile range. Every camera can act as a repeater too. So if you daisy chain your cameras away from the cell base, the possibilities are unlimited!

Don't need cell service at cam location for Buckeye Cams.

I have some land here in southern AZ that is old farm land and thought about planting some kind of wildlife food plot to attract wildlife. Anyone have any experience trying this? Wondering what type of seed you planted and what time of year you planted it?

When I said I wanted to attract wildlife... I didn't mean hippies and stoners.

Wanted to try something other than large crop plants. Thinking of a type of clover, chicory, sunny hemp or small turnip or radish. Was interested in any of the Tecmate seed mixes...
