Slow down... I don't think it said that these people are the poachers... Just some one they want to talk to.

If ASU can beat Bradley tonight, it will be the first time in 28 years (since 1985) that they will start the season 5-0... The basketball team might end up ranked higher than the football team.

Anyone want to camp together in 35A for December Hunt?
AZLance replied to Big Browns's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I can find 20 guys who will camp with you for a night... But they won't speak any English... -
Some of the best hunts I have had have been in the snow or rain...

I saw the 138 2/8" buck from 36C yesterday. Supposedly it was killed 100' from highway 286, the guy was on his way home from his hunt, when he saw it standing there... Truly a monster!

ASU will have to face two top 25 teams in a row next week. This will make or break the Sundevils season. Marquette and Creighton are both tough this year....

I will rent you one for $129.00

someone must have forgot to tell the Sun Devils basketball team that it was football season. they are 3- 0 after beating Idaho State, Miami of Ohio, and you UMBC... Sun devils will have their first real test next week vs Marquett.

Yea... I was actually surprised at that too... there is plenty of time for that to drop into the 100s

Maybe the fact that ASU basketball is ranked #56 currently in the power rankings... http://www.teamrankings.com/ncaa-basketball/ranking/overall-power-ranking-by-team

I believe the grizzly was brought in from a zoo for that video... As obviously there are no grizzles in AZ

If she has a cabin up there maybe you should be asking her where the elk are... -
That's what happens when you mix drugs and hunting....

I hear that that video was filmed in Happy Valley on the backside of the Rincons... No one will comment on what happened to the grizley bear after the filming of the video. Maybe, wink, wink, it roamed the Rincons for awhile... That was definitely a mesquite tree he climbed up in...

So I was out hiking and found this dead bear. At first I thought maybe it had died from a fight with another bear... But this is the second dead bear I have found in this area. The first bear I found dead was a few months ago, a little under a mile away from this one. Same thing as this one, no visible wound or gunshot hole. Both bears were found close to different springs. So I started thinking... I have been hunting for over 20 years and never found a dead bear and now 2 of them in a few months close to each other. Maybe they were killed by another big boar, or maybe they drank some tainted water from a mine shaft nearby, or maybe someone is poisoning them? I would guess both bears were in the 3 to 4 year old range around 200 pounds. I also believe I have this same bear on trail camera a couple of months ago about 3 miles away and he looked healthy. Anyone else ever find anything like this? Or have any ideas?
-
Ok, just heard back from Game and Fish. The second dead bear had almost no teeth left, and had almost no fat on it. He believes it died of old age. But to be safe, he took tissue and hair samples. He also took some water samples from the spring nearby. So as most of you know, I usually don't have the best things to say about G&F, but the G&F officer, Matt Braun went out of his way to look into these dead bears, and get back with me. Hats off to him!

I start this rumor every year... Funny that it has made its way around so quickly this year...

Not so much that PRDTR... It's not really even about getting to a spot first for many of us. We all know there is a ton of public land to set up on. It's just that your big stupid redneck trailer and all your quads and trash sitting in the woods for several weeks on end off the main roads is super annoying. In some units it is literally one large abandoned camp after another for miles and miles on forest roads for several weeks before season and on into and after the hunts. If it is so easy to find a camp site as you say.... then why do you have to set up a month in advance? Well said Critter! I not going to STFU! I will be the one calling the forest service and demanding that they enforce this rule when I see other hunters breaking the rule?..

AGFD news Warning to Arizona hunters and recreationists camping on the Coconino, Kaibab and Prescott National Forests
AZLance replied to AGFD News's topic in News from Arizona Game and Fish Dept.
It says in the FS regulations that if you are going to do this, to call ahead of time and leave a vehicle description and contact information and they will issue you a permit. -

This is great news! About time the Forest Service listens to the hunters who complained about the trailers being parked for weeks in advance of a hunt. I guess the G&F commission supports parking a trailer in a camping spot for weeks in advance to reserve a camp spot... Sad! -
Turkeys everywhere in 35b....

10 years ago there were 1500+ aliens a day crossing thru the Altar Valley, so no it is not like 10 years ago.

The north end of the unit is more active than the south end right now.
