Main reason the reservations have lots of game is they do not issue thousands of tags and over hunt their game.

A3 Golden Boy Jed Larson Convicted of Poaching
AZBULLHUNTER replied to NoBull350's topic in The Campfire
How do you know he cooperated fully with Game and Fish. Not until he was caught. It is impossible to accidentally cross the fence. You can get free map programs that will tell you where you are. If he unknowingly crossed the fence he should not have pleaded guilty because there was no intent to violate the law. -
Thought I would post him on the wall.

Where is the story? -
In Kansas you must hunt close to MO line for true eastern birds

yes of course

13 pts 270 WSM that belonged to Duwane Adams built by Craig's Custom Rifles in Oro Valley The shot was 350 yards and it happened on Day 4. That afternoon the weather moved in as you can see which made the hunt very difficult. I hunted with Duwane Adams and had a great hunt. Very low key no pressure. I drew a 3c tag two years earlier and turned it back and I am glad I did.

Lance the mount was finished in early March by a friend out of Texas. It could have been done a little quicker but I was late getting the antlers to him.

There is enough public/leased land by the state of Kansas to hunt there. Get the maps by the state and you can find enough land to hunt. I have hunted Kansas numerous times on private land but have seen birds on "public land"

I declined a goulds tag that was surrendered
AZBULLHUNTER replied to couesdeerhntr's topic in Turkeys!
Thanks my situation is probably much different than yours. I was fortunate to get the late West Kaibab deer hunt last November with 13 points. My health is poor and I struggled on the turkey hunt. I am kinda running out of time for hunting. At times I could only walk 40 to 50 yards without stopping to rest. To me the best part of the hunt is scouting but times have changed for me. If I were in your shoes I would have done what you did. I hope things get better since I have 20bp for elk. -

360 or better You need a new stockbroker or a different financial advisor. Under Obama the S&P 500 went up 181% an average of 13.8 per year. -

Wow 294 posts about A3 but most are not about A3. Maybe by 300 posts we have will have a comment from the management team. It is none of my business but I guess that their reputation has taken a big hit. Lots of rumors over the years but this not a rumor. A federal criminal conviction. -

I do not think this thread is Blah. The real issue is Mr. Larson and A3. He is a high level member of A3 one of the premiere outfitting businesses in Arizona. Despite his statements proclaiming it was an honest mistake, if the judge and the prosecutor believed this, this matter wold have likely been resolved in weeks not years. Likely the charges would have been dropped. The fact is he pleaded guilty to a federal crime. He is a convicted criminal. He crossed the fence to shoot a trophy bull elk. Anyone who hunts or lives up there knows of the temptations of the bulls across the fence. Fortunately most people resist the temptation and do the right thing. Some do not as evidenced by his guilty plea. I enjoyed his lawyer's written statement attempting to get out of any restitution. It made as much sense to me as to the judge. I am sure if you asked him, this was his "first mistake". That is a common statement in drug trafficking offenses as well. This is a black eye on the outfitting business I would like to see an official statement from A3. -

If this was an" honest mistake "then why were you prosecuted and why did it take over 4years to be resolved? If the judge and AUSA agreed with you it is very likely no charges would have been filed. Was there a fence there? If you did nothing criminal why did you plead guilty to a federal criminal offense? You should have gone to trial so you could have cleared your name and that of A3. Now you are a convicted criminal. With all the high tech equipment you have there is no excuse for not knowing you were on the reservation. One thing you do know is that the biggest elk around are on the White Mountain Apache Reservation. San Carlos has some big bulls and sheds. Any of your group ever been down there? See if AZ Game and Fish have any hearings any time soon.
