This sure is an interesting subject. I've worked in the high tech industries all my life including 10 years at Sandia National Labs. Most of the Scientists I worked with were firm believers in God. We can always poke holes in the Bible when it comes to creation. they say it took 6 days for God to create everything. How long is a day for God? May not be the same as our day. Science and medicine are always making great strides in discovering new things. I had an ACL graph 20 something years ago. I am so glad that doctors figured out that after a year in your body tendon cell structure will turn to ligament cell structure. INCREDIBLE! How does that happen? I believe that God made our bodies in such an incredible way that it heals itself. God also had a hand in creating the doctors and scientists that made these discoveries. Every time I see the sun rise I thank God for the wonderful world he created and the blessings he has bestowed on me. I am not telling you that I am right and you are wrong. I just believe in God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. They've been good to me and mine. Some food for thought. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2004/10/1018_041018_science_religion.html As for the initial topic. I think that to make a relationship work both people have to be like minded in their thoughts on religion (or lack thereof). My first marriage didn't work out to well. Mostly because we were too young but, her lack of faith and my great faith did NOT help make the marriage work. Fortunately that experience took me to the place where I met the Love of my life and made me a better husband. 28 years and going strong.God does have a plan!

BFG AT's have always been great for me. Tried the Yokohama's last go around. Really liked them until they ran out of tread at 23k miles! Right now I'm running the BFG Rugged Terrains. Very happy so far but only have 10k on them.

They are SWEET! I Love my 1911's.

Great Pics guys. That looks like the best way to get back in there for the big bucks but me and horses have never had that great a relationship. Being large economy sized now you'd have to throw me on a Clydesdale and I don't bounce as good as used too.

Sounds like Couples Wednesday night is in order to prep for Friday!

Welcome to the site and AZ. You will love both although July isn't the time to move to the valley! You'll feel like you're living 2 feet from Hades! Good luck on the job hunt.

There's a couple of really good spots real close to Black Canyon lake. Plenty of room for the horse trailers and pretty flat. Lord I hope they are wrong about closing the forest! Going up there next weekend (I hope). Come on RAIN!

Stuff handed down from parents/grandparents.......
Mocha1545 replied to stanley's topic in The Campfire
Fortunately both my Mom and Dad are still very active and I'll take that over anything else. Dad turned 89 last week and still put in with us for Deer. I do have the Down mummy bag that he made from a frostline kit. It's still very warm and brings a lot of great memories every time I pull it out. I still remember seeing my Dad covered in feather and shredded foam when he was making them. The static electricity made everything stick to him and couldn't stop laughing when he came out of the den covered like was tarred and feathered. I have my Grand Dad's compass from WWI. Brass and stamped 1917. I carried it for years. I also have my Grand Dad's Cavalry Dress Saber. Both of them are now locked in the gun safe. -
Try multi-focal contacts. They work great for me.
