This 12 year old hunter had the opportunity to go lion hunting with seasoned guides Jim Bedlion and Donny Randall and was able to take this massive Tom.This is his first big game animal. The Lion had just killed a cow the day before. The dogs were able to pick up the sent and trail it up and over over some very rough cholla covered cliffs. He did a good deed taking this big Tom out of prime sheep country in Unit 24BS, and hopefully the sheep Gods will reward him with a big ram someday. Jim Bedlion, Donny Randall, and their incredible dogs worked their magic again and we thank them heartily for all their hard work in Units 22 and 24B over the past several years!!

Jaguar Tracks

I was out yesterday and missed a 63 yard shot at a mature buck all alone. He jumped the string on my bow as he was looking at me when I released. There were two twin two points in the same area but didnt seem like they were together. The buck that made me smash a gravedigger into the rocks was raking the brush and pawing the ground every so often (no doe in the area). This was in 24B near Superior. I think the Myan calendar is right tomorrow is the DAY..........!!! Not the end of the world but the start of the RUT!!!!! Oh ya!!! Missing your shot sucks....But not having the oportunity to miss the shot , I think sucks worse!!!! DT
