Who is my bugler??? I don't understand?? I have never been elk hunting in my life, I have only "spooked" one herd of elk in my life and that was 3 years ago on accident while squirrel hunting , and I was archery deer hunting last year (to no success) and stalked within 50 yds of a cow elk witha calf, man was that a thrill..... I have only been archery hunting for the last year and have not had any sucess sticking anything yet.... it took me 5 years to just get drawn for this hunt but I don't have the cash to go buy an outfitter/guide etc to help meon this so like many other hunts I am mostly on my own Make sure you practice your shooting at 10 yards and if that cow and calf was awsome wait till a pissed off bull bugles all the way in to you at 5 or 10 yards away. You will have multiple bulls right on top of you. Two years ago my son 13years old had a small bull bugle while he was at full draw 2 feet from the blind. This is a primo hunt and the only problem I see you having is shooting one that's too small, wait for the BIG one.

I went to Utah(SLC) yesterday to check out this auction. They had furs(bison to badgers)deer, elk, moose, sheep, goat horns. I was really suprised at what bobcats were selling for. A few of the larger ones sold for over $1000. Antler buyers were getting the horns for about $8.50lb. It was a long day, TnT auctions did the sale. I was there to buy back my 2010 bull rack that I had to give up for not being able to harvest all the meat. It was Sept 11, 2010, 90 degrees , and the next day when I was able to make it back to the kill it was spoiled. I was able to find my skull capped rack and bought it for $350. I have the cape, they did not take that from me, so now I can get it mounted. DT

that says A parent or legal gardian not THE... so does the wording a or the matter???? James Tag Transfers Under Arizona Revised Statutes and Arizona Game and Fish Commission Rules there are ways people can transfer big game tags to children. Beginning Jan. 1, 2012, a $4 transfer fee will apply. A parent, grandparent or legal guardian holding a big game tag may allow the use of that tag by their minor child or minor grandchild pursuant to the following requirements: • The minor child is 10 to 17 years old on the date of transfer; • The minor child has a vaild hunting or combination license on the date of transfer; • A minor child less than 14 years old has satisfactorily completed a Department-approved hunter education course by the beginning date of the hunt; • The parent or guardian must accompany the child in the field or, if a grandparent allows a minor grandchild to use the grandparent’s permit or tag, the grandparent, parent or the child’s guardian must accompany the child in the field. In either case, the adult must be within 50 yards of the child when the animal is taken. Once a tag is transferred at a Department office, the original permittee may no longer use it. A person may also transfer his or her game tag for use by a child with a life threatening medical condition or a qualifying permanent physical disability. Consult A.R.S. 17-332 for more information, or visit www.azgfd.gov.

You know i was thinking the same.....cause with the spring draw people were getting hits a week or two before the actual results came out. So i wonder if there are doing the draw now but not charging cards till results are up online. Cause they learned there lesson. "Be advised that if your card is invalid at the time the random drawing is run, it will result in rejection of your application (regardless of posted results)." was in the email. So if your info is not valid or unsufficent funds....you will be rejected. I'm thinking the people who get drawn will receive their big game tag in the mail. So you really don't need to worry, if your drawn G&F will let you know...................Ya I know it's hard to wait. Why else would I be reading this 6th page of this post?

I would like to see a wait period also,5 years or like NV , 10 years for Bull Elk if you bag one, 5 years still if you don't bag a Bull.
