Curious as to what some of you would? I have 12 points for deer. I have been holding out for late Kaibab & the strip, but I have along way to go unless I get lucky. My question is even if I did draw my scouting would be limited 1 or 2 trips to a unit I have never set foot in & will not hire a guide. I thought about burning my points on a unit I can scout almost every weekend & know the unit well. There have been some big deer taken out of this unit, but they are far & few between. If I scout all summer long I think I could find a respectable buck. Just curious what some of you would do, would you hold out or burn points & find a respectable buck in a lesser unit? I know there is the potential of a 170 to 180 class buck in this unit.

I have been holding out for the late kaibab hunt or the strip. I can’t archery hunt anymore as I have a torn rotator cuff so archery is out of the question. My post was would you burn points on a lesser unit you can scout every weekend versus the Kaibab or strip that I would only be able to scout 1 or 2 times if I even drew either of them. The unit I am thinking about burning points on I know really well & can scout every weekend until the season.

Asking if you guys could give my mom a prayer. She received news her cancer is growing aggressively in her liver since last treatment. She had stage 4 ovarian almost 2 years ago & they removed it. Found a spot on her liver & thought they could hit hard, but her treatment didn’t work. Our family is praying for the best outcome. She is a wonderful caring lady as most mothers are. She is trying to stay strong & positive.

My friend said his wife’s brother has a friend who’s uncle talked to a guy that knows someone at fish & game & the draw is gonna be delayed due to melted electric wires found on the main computer system. They hope to have it up & running by early March. Fingers crossed

Congrats nice bucks!! -
Congrats to you! 16a is a rough unit to find big deer! Too many side by sides & over hunted in years past!

Another vote for Black Ovis or pillow cases.

They are designed to haul. We have hauled my dads ranger several times. Check out there website & it has a video & pictures of hauling quads & side by side.

These trailers are badass!! I have had one for about 12 years & it is awesome for hunting & camping! You can get these trailers into some nasty areas if you have a 4x4. Good luck with the sale, I love mine!!

I have a beer with my dad every Friday! He is going to be 83 in May. I can really see him aging the last couple of years especially this past year as my mom has been battling cancer & it has really taken a toll on both of them.

His work looks great in the pictures! I would push him to get his contractors license in landscaping or masonry & continue his skills. Will be a little tough at first, but it won’t take long to get his name out there. -
Nice Buck congrats

Congrats he’s a stud

Let him walk, still nice buck though.

I’m 9 months in now & will be making appointment this week with my surgeon as I have been having some pain & it seems to be getting worse. I don’t have the pain in my groin anymore, my range of motion is not the same & it just doesn’t feel stable to me. I’ve been working & doing normal things, but it just doesn’t feel strong & stable to me. I’m not sure what I’m supposed to expect, but everyone I talk to that has it done has zero pain & pretty much pain free. I’ve never had any major surgery other than appendix removed so maybe I’m thinking all should be good by now. Will have to see what my surgeon says. Good luck hope yours goes well!

Anyone on here ever had a total hip replacement? I just had mine done on November 7th. I have been told what recovery time is, but wondering if anyone here has had it done & what your recovery was like. I don’t have much pain & able to move around with & without a cane. I do get some pain in my flexor muscle after exercising & walking around, it usually goes away after taking ibuprofen & resting . Just wondering what I should be expecting pain & recovery wise. The doctors tell you, but would like first hand knowledge. Thanks in advance for any input. I should mention I just turned 54.
