No need to explain why you chose 6a!! its a good unit for both deer & elk!! I've seen some nice bucks in that unit. They may not be 200" bruisers,but there are some respectable deer in there for sure. There are nice bucks in every unit of the state, just some units have more big deer than others.

Lucky for me I won't have to decide on any gun to use since I can't draw a tag anywhere!! If I did draw I would have used my Remington 270 or 243.

Has anyone with a Cabela card been hit today? trying to hold on to hope maybe I drew a tag. This has been the unluckiest year ever! I have struck out for tags in 3 states, and its getting very frustrating!! The rate its takes to draw a tag anymore almost makes me want to quite hunting, but I could never give it up! I am not putting in for hard to draw or trophy units either. I guess I'm just unlucky.

I rarely watch movies for the simple fact Hollywood is filled with douchebags!! Muledeerarea33 I have had the same discussion with my dad, and my answer to him is I won't watch anything these mouthpieces are in even older movies!! To me it is the principle I'm sure I have missed a lot of good movies, but I refuse to support these asswads by watching anything they are in. To each his own I'm sure my boycotting won't do any good, but I get the satisfaction knowing I don't support them or there views.

I have the vulture 15 x 56s they were what I could afford & I have no regrets buying them!!

I carry 10x42 around my neck, 15x56s in my pack & use with a tripod. I also carry my spotting scope in my pack. I know it adds extra weight, but I would rather have it than not!!

Never seen any elk, but have heard reports of them being spotted in Big Sandy wash heading toward the lake. Also a buddy of mine from Phoenix chased bulls in the thick salt cedars close to the lake. They are in there just need to locate them its a long season. Good luck let us know how it turns out.

Well got my apps in for dad & I, really hope I can at least draw a deer tag!! I have struck out for elk in Az, and 0 on other states for anything. Good luck to everyone as we play the waiting game again!

I grew up in Havasu & unfortunately am stuck in the communist state of mexifornia until my daughter graduates high school in 2 years. There are a lot of guys who hunt & are into shooting sports here, but we are overruled by the libtard nation!! I can't wait to leave. I moved here for work money was great at the time. Now I have my own construction business that gets us by, but when my daughters is out of school its GOODBYE to this SH**HOLE. Not everyone that lives in Cali is a nutjob just some of us stuck here finishing out our prison sentence so please give some of us poor bastards a break!!

ej20 I was in your dilemma I wanted 15s, but swaros were out of the question for me. I bought the vultures & am happy with them!! They do exactly what I need. Maybe someday I will upgrade to swaros, but raising kids & such the expensive glass isn't in the cards. Get the vultures & have fun!
