I was in unit 8, and I also saw the plane you are talkinig about. It was flying around in circles by round mountain and sycamore canyon.

I like road hunters!! They stay out of the woods so it gives me better opportunity to get away from other hunters, and see more game.

My daughter showed me how to post em up so here are some from my hunt. Hope you enjoy them we had an awesome hunt.

Hunted hard for 3 days finally took a nice little spike on one side with a long fork on the other on sunday morning. Not the biggest bull in the woods, but I am happy with him. He will make for some good eating. Had a great time with my dad & cousin, and to me that is what is all about!! Congrats to all who filled their tags!! I would post pics, but can't figure out how to do it maybe my kids can post em for me haha.

Heading out tuesday morning can't wait. I'm broke as heck and have no work, but i'm hunting elk!!

Hey guys, Its getting close with about two weeks to go. Getting all my gear ready & packed up! Good luck to all who have tags!! I can't wait to get going & spend some quality time with my dad, he is in his 70's and still loves to hunt hopefully he will be by my side should I be fortunate enough to pull the trigger on a nice bull, but just being out there is what it is all about!! Hey guys, In need of some help!! I am from Lake Havasu, but moved to California years ago when I got married ( don't ask me why its a long story) anyway we are wanting out of this communist state. Was wondering if you guys might be able to give me some input as to work. I am a general contractor out here specializing in remoldeling. I have experience in framing, tile & stone, finish carpentry, drywall painting and more. I would like to live in flagstaff area, but would consider the phoenix area. I can run work or work on a crew, just trying to get some steady work so I can get my family out of california. Any contacts or prospects would be greatly appreciated. I will be in unit 8 for the late rifle. Good luck on your hunt it will be tough this time of year for archery, but you will see elk for sure!

Hey Guys, Wanted to know who you would recommend in the flagstaff area for a good meat processor for elk. Have the late rifle hunt coming up and if lucky enough to put a bull on the ground would like to know where to get it processed. Also looking for a good taxidermist just in case. Thanks in advance for any advice and good luck to all on their hunts.

Welcome to the site and good luck on your hunt. I also have the late rifle hunt and can't wait been planning ever since I drew. Driving my wife nuts its all I think about and talk about!!

A 243 is great for deer. I would use 100gr. nosler partition or accubond.

Anyone have a good recommendation for a shop in Flagstaff or Phoenix? I am from out of state and would like to get my bow tuned and strings replaced while I am out there scouting for elk. Thanks for any help!!
