I have the same rifle, but in 30-06. Paid $450.00 for it brand new good luck with sale.

I was in 8 since Wednesday until today. We were back by sycamore Canyon in 6 days of hunting hard & glassing we saw 0 elk & heard 7 shots in 6 days. Not sure where the war zone was.

We just pulled out northern half of unit 8. It is a sloppy mess!!! We are lucky to get out where we were camped!! If your heading there make sure someone knows where you are!! It is bad that’s why we got out of there. Suppose to rain & snow tonight & it is gonna be worse than this morning. We gave it heck since Friday & didn’t even see an elk. We were not road hunting we were back in the dark timber & nothing. Good luck !!

Heading up Tuesday for my late rifle hunt. Hopefully will have camp all set up before the storm next week. We are supposed to head back to Havasu for Thanksgiving day than head back up to my unit that evening. If the snow comes like predicted we will be having Thanksgiving in camp. Good luck to all with a tag gonna be cold & snowy for sure. Should be a fun hunt!!

Heading up on the 25th for my bull hunt starting the 29th. Temps are dropping so hopefully we will get into some elk.

Deer numbers are low, but I would get a tag! If your a resident its not expensive to have just in case. There are some big desert deer in this unit, but you will have your work cut out finding them!

Not going to be the ethics police, but I find it sad to read about the bulls being wounded! The guy in unit 9 on a previous thread wounding 4 bulls, 2 bulls in 22s supposedly shot by the same hunter & than I find out today from a buddy 2 guys he knows have wounded 2 bulls in 27. It’s crazy 8 bulls wounded & not a single one recovered. I don’t know the circumstances of each of these shots, but I would hope guys are taking ethical shots. My gut feeling is people are flinging arrows well beyond their ability, but like I stated I don’t know the circumstances of each shot. I know there is way more bulls wounded than we will ever know about!! I just think its sucks for the animals & all of us hunters. I put in for an early archery tag first choice & late rifle 2nd choice. I drew the late rifle & have been & will continue to practice to make a clean shot. If I had of drawn early archery the same would’ve applied with practicing.

I get it not much anyone can do. The guy is just an a..hole!! I guarantee he is not looking for any of thes bulls for very long!! He Is in the 9th day of the hunt with 6 bulls hit. I guarantee there is a least one dead bull out there if not more! The guy has no ethics or respect for animals or hunting!! There is not much else to say its a sad shame what this DICK is doing. I don’t call this guy a hunter by any means!! As for laws broken I guess he has done nothing wrong, but it just sucks to hear about this. I am disgusted to know there are these types of hunters out there. This is exactly what fuels anti hunters to hate hunting & hunters. I would think this would disgust every hunter on this sight!!
