Nice! I have the same carrier except my little guy is too small to take out shed hunting.

dang! You could get a pass thru on a Buick

I gave up shooting long range because I'm lazy and got tired of walking all the way out to 100yds to retrieve my arrows. 😝

28" draw with FMJ's, 100gr tip, your FOC can't be that high unless you are also adding heavy inserts? I've got that issue, but maybe you've found high FOC to not be a big deal.

So my niece got drawn for an archery deer tag in NM. This is her second year with a bow and first time getting drawn. I'm trying to increase her odds and although there are plenty of deer in the area I think a ground blind sitting a tank is the only way to go. She will be hunting Rowe Mesa near Pecos, NM. I am looking for a low cost ground blind that I can send out to her to use. Neither her Mom or step Dad hunt much yet they camp and fish a ton. Hopefully I'll be able to make it up to the hunting area if I get a break from work. Anyone got anything sitting in closet somewhere they don't need. If it comes down to it I may invest in a new one and I might use it myself although sitting blinds is not my thing. I'm in Chandler

I was thinking something even cheaper. Here is my back up plan http://www.amazon.com/Ameristep-Care-Taker-Blinds-Realtree/dp/B00JQHWT52/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1432247047&sr=8-1&keywords=ground+blind

Dad screwed up. Maybe apply for a general hunt and if you draw sign your tag over to him. He's 15 and doesn't want to go on those "kid" hunts, an adult hunt is better right

Where are you located. PM sent

Kidso, My FMJ 400's are 10.2 gpi and set up for elk. Was thinking about going down to the axis for an all around deer round since I don't know when I'll get drawn for elk again. I'm really don't want to mess with my site tape though

Congrats. Tell us about your bow setup. Looks like a PSE with a Black Gold Ascent? -
What is next for the Prez?

Don't even get me started. I think I was the only one cussing at the TV today at our lunch spot when I saw this. -
436 gr Easton Axis FMJ 400's, blazers with right helical with 100gr Wac'em XL @ 290 fps

x2 ^^^^^ I'm also looking for a quality window tint place as well. We bought a new Highlander and the dealer tint package didn't include the front drivers/passenger window. I wish I had the option to not include their "desert package".

I think Maverick on here uses them

Which cartridge do you prefer? I was thinking of buying a .17 and couldn't decide between the two

Looks like I will be working out of Gallup NM for the early archery season. I occasionally get afternoons off or a day here or there depending on our schedule so I would like to take all my hunting gear and cross over the border for some archery hunting if time allows. If I get lucky I'll also need to make my way to a processor in Show Low or Springerville. How is the mule deer population in 2B around St. Johns? From a quick Google map look it looks pretty desolate. I might venture all the way to Show Low, but that is getting to be a far drive. Any advice on Hunting 2B and maybe into 2A/2C? Is it even worth considering?

This is an old video, but if you look the kid up he is no Amature. I think it was a pretty close shot too.

That is a great idea. I called and the NM Left Over list comes out June 24. There are some toads in and around McGaffey

So I guess the 2A/2B/2C any antlered tag is a sucker tag except for the locals who know where some may be hiding.

My brother runs a private ranch 8000+ acres in Northern NM Unit8 and Unit51. Bull Elk tags are full package deal with lodging, guide, food. etc. PM me if you want more information. I think he has a few bull elk tags left, but they are going fast now the NM and AZ draw are done. You can find the land owner list here: http://www.wildlife.state.nm.us/download/hunting/maps/e-plus/2014-EPLUS-Landowner-List.pdf

That is a really unique rack. Great looking mount !

I agree with Javelina, they are a blast to hunt. Jack Rabbits are also easy to hunt at any time you want although they are not much of tablefare.
