How are those FMJ's fletched? Looks like right helical? My exact length. If you can get them to Chandler I'll take them. At 400 spine now but wanted to try out 340's.

Go with this. I hardly use my hard case anymore. Google>> Allen Gear Fit Pro Compound Bow Case, 39" $41.78 (sorry, can't copy/paste for some reason)

Cottonwood Dollar General parking lot?

I currently shoot a 4-pin slider set up for 20,30,40,50-100 I got a new bow and am getting a new site for it so I can keep my current set-up as a back-up. I'm considering getting a 5-pin fixed sight and going 30,40,50,60,70. I want to limit my shots on my elk hunt to 50yds, so the 60 and 70 yard pins would be just for practice. My thought is that if I am 20 yards from elk I think I could hit the sweet spot without even looking at my sight. The drop between my 20-30 yard pin is only 2-3 inches at most. Anyone else skip their 20 yard pin?

New Mexico draw results out 2 weeks early!
Norteno replied to Couestracker's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in New Mexico
My buddy is the software engineer who developed their webpage and draw process system. He hated working there and since left. I was trying to convince him to come work for azgfd and update their system. -
Now that taxes are done and the valley is heating up the opportunity to buy a camper and get out of here on the weekends is looking to be a real good option. I would like to get a pop-up camper since my new house has an RV gate with plenty of area to store it. I've never considered a full size trailer because I don't want to spend $50-75 a month on storage, or have to drive across town to pick it up. HOA won't allow anything taller than block wall. I plan to use the camper with the wife and our two small boys in the summer. Then it will be used in fall for hunting by either myself, my cousin or good friend. I wouldn't mind letting them use it. The wife needs a potty so a cassette toilet is a must. The boys and I will go outside or in our diapers. I'll be pulling it with my Supercharged Tacoma for now, but if its too much trouble will trade up to a full sized truck. Other than the time it takes to set-up what are the down sides? I won't be using it in the winter so don't mind that it is not greatly insulated. Right now I'm looking at a Forest River Rockwood High Wall with slide out. New they are $20K so I'm hoping to find something used. I made the mistake of looking one over at San Tan Mall a couple weeks ago and now that is the least the wife will settle on. Many claim pop-ups are just glorified tents. What are your experiences?

Advice on how to input my daughter for rifle deer tag
Norteno replied to BigDaddyDMD's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
It is really up to you if you want her to hunt with you or if you want a hunt that is dedicated to just her. The youth hunts are set up to give the youth an advantage both in draw success rates and harvest success rates. There are some great youth hunting camps to participate in if she does draw a youth tag. One option you have and could make you the best Dad ever is to put her in for the youth hunt and yourself for the general hunt. If she does not get drawn for youth and you do for the general hunt you can sign over your tag to your daughter and she can use your tag in the general hunt. Last resort, you could both pick up Left Over Tags (if there are any left over this year). Make sure she has taken Hunter Ed class and field day prior to the hunt. -
Sweet bow. What did you pay if you don't my telling us. $700-800?
-
If you want to get a little more specific let us know what tag you have. Hunt unit and early vs. late archery could require a lot of different supplies. Are you tent camping, RV,? 1) Practice everyday and get used to holding at least 1 minute and still hitting your target. Also practice letting down slowly. 2) Practice with your pack on and a fully loaded quiver. I shot my bull the second morning and in a way wish I would have hunted longer because it is AWESOME! Still think about it everyday.

Carlos at Energy Air (480) 703-1457 Good guy who runs his own business. The R22 cost he billed me last year was 1/3 what the other guys were charging.

I've bought from both. AT has some great deals. Pay with PayPal and add the 3%, never PayPal friend. There are bowshops all around the country selling their over stock of bows on eBay.

Why have I put off doing my taxes. Who knows, I may have the 5K available or I may owe Uncle Sam 5K. If its still around in 2 weeks maybe the Gobment' did me good. -
Wow, this is a great deal. Give it a couple more weeks once guys that got drawn will start tapping into their 401k's to buy hunting gear.

Needs more details. 1) Can the dump bed still function? 2) Looks like a custom cage. Can you still install a factory windshield or half? 3) Got a trailer to go with it? -
That is one sick bow! Who in the valley services Obsession? My friend is in the market, but he is one big dude and looking for 70# limbs.

Wish it had a potty. No-go without one the wife says. -
Heater, AC? Has the toilet been used? Likely, but just asking.

bow weight 5.38 lbs!!! Is that bare, I hope not. I saw a Mathews Safari for sale with similar specs. I guess if you're going to draw a 80# bow you also need to endurance to carry the extra weight around.

Easton FMJ 400's Grave Digger COC or Wac'em XL 100gr 440gr total 27.5" @ 64# Blazers helical Shooting 280fps Since I'm not hunting elk this year I may switch to Easton Axis, lower my overall weight and increase FOC

Any tuning issues? According to the charts you are a bit weak on spine. I have the same shafts and length but my draw weight is much lower due to several (3) surgeries on my shoulder. I'm currently working my draw weight back up and was just curious where my limit might be with these shafts. That is what I thought. At 70lbs should be 340's but if it works go with it.

So my wife and her friend got me and my budding a guided striper fishing day at Lake Pleasant on March 5th. I love fishing, but mostly stream fly fishing for trout or from the bank of a lake. Never really been out on a boat or fished for Bass. What can I expect? Hopefully I won't be throwing chunks off the side of the boat. Do I need one of those fancy shirts with all my sponsors on the back? Do I get to keep the fish? Are they good to eat? Truthfully I'd rather have the day off to head up north and check if the Bulls have started dropping.
