I am in the market for a new rifle, trying to decide between two rifles, just looked at a winchester model 70 and a tikka t3. I dont know anything about the tikka but i like the weight on it, but i like winchesters as well. Any expierience with either, thanks Daniel
-
I thought about replacing the kimber, but dont have the funds at this time, I got the scope for it already just need the gun ha ha, for some reason i thought i had heard that winchester had some problems recently in thier rifles so im kinda not sure yet.

I was leaning towards the tikka just for the weight, it feels great in hand and looks good to boot, my buddy has it and also put the limbsaver pad on it. I already have my long range gun and want something light to carry. btw its the tikka t3 hunter with the walnut stock.

2010 Deer and Sheep Hunt Guidelines
DBArcher replied to Red Rabbit's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
one 6a Sheep tag, i wont get it but ill sure try -
yes they will clear the bisquit and are the only vane i would recomend through the bisquit
-
I like the way those vanes fly A LOT, but I have had awful luck with fletching them, and taken them to more than one shop to have them fletched by some one else, always with the same results: they won't stay on my Gold Tips! I use a bitz jig, always prep the shafts, and have tried Goatuff, AAE Fastset, and Bohning Platinum. Do you have any advice? As far as getting those little aae vanes to stick, you really should try our max bond glue, it special formulated for those vanes.... that being said I use the3 inch aae for just about everything and they work great

Well i just couldn't stand it anymore and decided to take a trip out to one of my elk areas to try and find some fresh drops. I figured I was to early but I couldn't stand being in the house anymore. found one small 5pt and a lion kill muley. My question is.... how do you guys normally shed hunt. I walked 4.2 miles according to the gps, but are you guys just walking or glassing or a little bit a both. figured this would be a good discussion this time of year. Thanks Daniel
