My uncle ended up tagging out yesterday on a 3x5 in 6a west yesterday, lots of people but good amounts of elk

Well sitting a tank yesterday with my dad I had these 3 little deer killers come in at less then 30 yards, once in a life time

Well they were way to close for comfort, my dad was the one that noticed the little male first at 18 yards and then the female came into 22 yards and the momma to about 28 yards. We were sitting in a ground blind and I had the camera resting on the edge of the blind with one hand and my 357 in the other.

I have kinda thought about this for sometime and I agree it will be broken within the next five years. I would V=venture to say that it will be killed in a northern unit possibly 6a, 6b or even 8. We just have to wait and see.

I know the unit that bear is in, It is not closed to bear hunting.

I was thinking the same thing with the 21 bucks, If its the buck I am thinking of there should be two others with him, keep an eye out.

Well I went out thursday morning to look around before opening day. I went down to a pond right by my camp to drop of my double bull. Half way down to the pond I found some fresh turkey tracks and a feather. Then I heard a alarm cluck and looked up to see 2 jakes running out of the country. I went ahead and setup my blind and went back to camp. Friday morning I woke up to a horrible wind. I went down to my blind. I setup my decoys and got comfortable. At about 945 I looked up to see a hen and jake coming into the decoys. I got ready for the shot but having a recurve I have very limited range. those birds never came closer than 30 yards. At about 1245 I decide to let out a few yelps and immediatly got a response from behind me. Within about 10 minutes two toms were headed right to me on a string. I setup and the lead tom came directly to my jake decoy and faced it head on. I took the 7 yard shot right at the base of his tail fan and he flopped like a rock. Awesome bird with a recurve. Daniel

i have a new england firearms 308 that I would like to sell. It has a 22 inch bull barrel and synthetic stock. It comes with a harris bipod and sling. I have only put 15 rounds through it and then I got my 300. Id like to get 175 for it. I will get pics up a little later. Daniel
