Just getting started with taxidermy and would like to buy a good cape and a nice rack if any one is willing to part with one or both! Not looking to do it professionally or for any one at this time still working out my quarks. did not get a good buck my self or i would have just used mine! Thanks

Hunted that area and ended up shooting a small buck but the bullet was directed to a 4x4. it was early and my spotter said it was a clean shot, just to find out that i had hit a 2x2 that was standing as to his shoulder! Needless to say i took a guy back out 2 days later to chase the 4x4 and we seen him but could not get a shot! PS thanks to all you guys for your pointers!! seen A lot of bucks some real nice ones!!

LMAO angry birds rio!! that is awesome and a awesome way to miss out on an elk!! yea i dont leave my gun less then arms length at any time!! i have hunted with a guy who sat his down against a tree 5 steps away from where he squatted to do a # 2.. a nice 30" muley stepped out.. well he tripped over his pants im sure he had shi* all over him and he still did not get a shot off!

I knew it would be a mad house due to the tags! but i have been up scouting almost every weekend and have not seen a single other sole! i took a rough road that took me over a hour to get within hiking range of a area i thought would be good. see a lot of does and deer sign and no sign of people! so i figure this may be a good area! less hunting pressure means More deer!! at least i hope! you wont find me any where near a road or other people opening morning! AS to the camping thing!! i have not heard about the 300 feet from a road!! i have heard the no less the "x"? from water holes! but not from the road! let me know for sure cause that may throw a kink in my plans!

I was out a few weekends back glassed all morning moved a few times to new areas had a few great vantage points just no bucks see a lot of does.. My binos are ok but also use a spotting scope.

Im new to this forum, so not sure if any one has posted about buck fever but figured i would try.. Any one got a funny story on having buck fever? Mine was when i was 12 my first elk hunt on the greys river in wyoming, we were on a ridge line glassing some meadows when i seen about 100 elk come out from a thicket of trees! i seen the lead bull must have been at least a 6x6 high 200 maybe 300 class bull,,, i was shooting a lever action 308 i ejected all 4 shells even the one i had chambered and did not pull the trigger once! i never lived it down with my dad who was sitting next to me! we did not get a shot off at these elk but the guy down the ridge from us did.. hit a cow.

Yea i have been out a lot! see more snakes than deer! is there any land issues i need to know about, private property ect? is Charouleau Gap worth looking i hear the road is horrible?

Hey every one.. im new to coues deer hunting only shot one and that was last year in 36a, but this year i drew a tag in unit 33! i have been scouting and seen a boat load of does but no bucks. and about 15 rattle snakes.. my hunt is 21oct -28th so soon.. need info on any thing! I have been to pepper-sauce canyon, and the far east side of the mountain north of reddington. Any more info can and im sure would help out a lot!! thanks
