Wife and I just made 21 dozen yesterday. I will try and get a recipe from her. I know she uses new mexico hot dried chiles...boils them for x amount of time..then blends them to a sauce...mixes it with whatever meat we kill. We use unprepared maza and add a ton of lard to it...no idea how much(she wings it). we whip the lard till its good and creamy...mix in the maza until you can drop a little piece of it in hot water and it floats right to the top....then go to work...we also put 3 green olives in each tamale we make.Adding store bought meat isnt required unless you don't have enuf game meat. This batch was javelina and deer. Or save the headache and buy some from a local family who makes them. I wouldn't sell mine for less than $20 a dozen for all the time and money invested in them..Hope yours turned out good.

Hope you found one for your dad. This was the most frustrating 20c hunt I have ever had. Too hot.,full moon, too hot, half the unit posted no hunting, too hot,the rest of the hunters on the six huntable roads that get you anywhere, too hot and too hot. Not $ure why game and fi$h put $even hundred tag$ out for thi$ unit?

I have 5 tags for each hunt in my family. There are lots of locked gates and no hunting signs. Where there is not is where you find everyone else crammed in the same area. Do your scouting and be first to your spot. After the first 2 days try and think outside of the box, which is hard when you don't know the unit. Find a spot with no road and hike in and your odds will be best. Good luck to you.

black gold ascent 5 pin. your 5th pin can go from 60 thru whatever long distance you are capable of chancing. I have friends who shoot 100 plus with this sight. if you have to have 7pins black gold has a few models and the nice thing is you can custom build your sight to what color, pin size and so on.

here is a pic of the custom cart.

if the terrain is good then they are great. We wheeled my wifes 3/4 of a mile last year on a custom cart. Cabelas just had a simple one for 40 bucks last week. Going to try it out this month.

Can't go wrong either way. My next setup will be a nice empty frame pack with a small daypack attached to it. Then you have both with you.
-
I have the full curl and really like it. Made in the USA also. If you shed hunt or pack out heavier loads I would look at the full curl. They are both good packs. They have some you tube vids to show you some ideas. good choice regardless.

have you checked other b-heads on your shafts to ensure your inserts are set right? A little variance on an insert is a lot on a broadhead. A good arrow spinner is a plus. I'm sure you have just thought I'd ask. Or you got a friday quitting time pack of b-heads.

Btw he shoots them also. I have heard they are tougher than the vaps. A better outsert design on the skinnys, plus most will take the hit inserts also.

Desert Ghost Archery in Wickenburg sells them. Call Shawn 928 231 4109 for pricing and availability.

pack is sold. bow still available. this might be an older bowtech, but it draws smoooth and shoots fast with a 7" brace height. still open for trades also.

http://phoenix.craigslist.org/wvl/spo/3107348379.html I have these on Craigslist.Reply either way if interested. Thx. Toby I might trade for a good rangefinder...500 yards plus and not a dinosaur or a good single pin sight or a 7 pin sight.

good luck on the water sitting. Had that tag in 07. All water was occupied everyday. I think some guys would sleep out there in the blinds to lay claim to them. Did spot and stalk everyday. Many lessons learned....Antelope can jump a string like its nobody business...and one bladder of water is barely enuf for a morning.

My wifes weighed 69lbs and change this January. That was guts and all. I was only fifteen minutes from home and the scale. I have heard of monster pigs, but this was our first.

Got a resignation on the page last night. One down... This guys letter sounded pretty sincere. Maybe he will start to get the rest of the guys who fell for the BS out too and help us eliminate this band of thieves!

Governor hearing a sales pitch for HB2072 today
TOBY replied to audsley's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
nothing gets the media attention better than a rally at the state capitol showing evidence of what a crock this sfw is with big poster boards showing where all the money really goes! -
I can't believe stoney missed that pig...and still took second with a zero. That's what 2 12s and 2 10s will do. Didn't even notice the back tension the guy was shooting. Too bad the computers crashed cuz my friend qualified on the low end and they missed putting him back in the brackets:( .

ok....ten years of auction tags(mule deer only)......10 million ish........ is there even a million ish worth of improvements north of the river? dont think so. better yet in the whole state? smells kinda like the HB bill all over again. times this by all species that get auctioned.
-
All of it.... between all of the az auction tags they generate at least half a million dollars on average. Is there a way to see where it truly goes? If I was the rich man buying that tag I would want to see that it was well spent on said mule deer habitat or new drinkers and so on. 220,000 will build seven new drinkers start to finish at 30,000 a pop. Times all these tags over the last decade.... quite a few million dollars all funding going to az? Where is all the progress? I read a lot of .com forums and see a couple of drinkers each year being fixed with the help of all you hunters like myself lending a hand to g&f and that is awesome! Where is the rest of the money going? Does g&f have to pay for lobbyists also? I understand that g&f does more than just that for a job,but they are a state funded agency which funds what they do 365. Just seems like a lot of dough without much show. Maybe I just woke up on the wrong side of the bed this am?
