My group got javelina tags, and the kids drew Turkey.

We normally hunt farther south. Before the storm in scouting when water was scarce we were seeing deer and cow elk regularly because we knew where they had to go. After the rains it let them get water wherever they wanted and the hot areas we had scouted got really cold. We explored more areas though and found some more travel routes/areas so hopefully one of the tag holders this weekend can zero in on a Buck. I am going to have to start working on scouting cows more in the north 1/2 of the unit. The area we have had success over the years is drying up some i think. The cow quantity is down, and rhe bull quality is down too.

I was in 23s with my son. We went up Sunday afternoon. It started raining Sunday night and didn't really quit til Monday night (over 2 inches in that time). We hunted Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday. It was tough. Tuesday nothing was moving, Wednesday was marginally better, but still windy. Thursday was calm, but we couldn't get on anything. He had the deer and elk tag. We saw everything but. 1 black bear 3 coyotes 18 doe 1 6x6 bull elk 12-15 miles hiked. Very frustrating to be honest. Had the rain not come, I am confident we probably would have gotten a deer, and maybe a cow. We walked out empty. My younger son and I are headed up Thursday night for his hunt in the same area for deer along with 2 others. Harley

We have to go to some degree because he has the deer tag with no point guard. The elk tag has point guard though...

I am on the fence right now of turning in a youth elk tag because if the weather is what they say it will.nevwr be able to get to where we normally hunt them. The roads will be to bad.

Do you know how many rounds down the tube?

Timney is an AZ company, so I try and support them the most. If you are around north phoenix you can walk into there headquarters and buy them if needed.

Yhat is good news! The 135gr bergers shoot really well too along with the 128gr hammers in my 257 weatherby. -
Selling for a friend. Hawke 3x12x56 scope with red/green illuminated center dot. The scope is in good shape. It has been mounted on a rifle, but rarely if ever shot. Illumination works, I just put a new battery in it. 30mm rings are included. They appear to be similar to the entry level vortex 6 screw rings. $225 obo for the scope with rings. The scope new is $320-350 it appears. The rings are $48 on amazon.

Somebody needs a decent scope. Deer and elk season is almost here so someone needs some glass. $175 OBO

This is a 270 winchester I assume, not a 270 weatherby?

I am helping a friend sell a rifle. Remington 700 PSS LTR (Light Tactical Rifle). This is an ex-LEO rifle from my understanding. 20" fluted barrel with 5r rifling is what I was told. It is not threaded, there is a color blemish at the end of the barrel that resembles a thread protector. The stock is factory and is HS Precision with aluminum bedding according to research and a friend. Trigger is an upgraded factory remington trigger. Bottom metal is drop plate and metal. Hawke 3x12x56 scope with unknown rings and bases. CVLife bipod. $800.

Hi, My son's drew youth javelina tags this year and the hunt also overlaps a turkey tags. So we want to turn in the tags. We didn't point guard them, so AZGFD says we have to donate the tags to a non-profit. Is anyone connected to or know of a good group to donate the tags. AZGFD gave a list, but some are out of state, and i would rather give the tags to a local organization and especially one that someone could recommend or help make sure they may go to a good place. Thanks

What is the rifle round count?

Here is the follow up to ask if I could surrender it back to AZGFD. Good afternoon, Your tags may not be surrendered back to Arizona Game and Fish without PointGuard. Thank you
