Has anyone done a Form 1 Solvent Trap, any negatives with that? Seems cheaper and quicker so there must be a catch.

Hi All, Do you have any good suggestions for a reasonably priced archery target that is kinda big for my 6 year old. He has a cheaper light kids bow, and currently we are using old large boxes stuffed with paper, boxes, etc to catch his arrows. I am thinking about getting him a real target for Christmas but don't want something to small or to expensive. I like the idea of the block, but I am hoping for something bigger that is $$$. Thoughts?

Where are you located? I have some used gunwerks (ADG) brass and some bullets I might be interested in trading.

My old 257 weatherby had a 3x9x40 for years. It shot around .75 MOA. I shot it at 500 yards several times. I would have preferred more magnification, but it held sub-MOA at 500. Aim small miss small.

If you buy 2 cans at one time, is it still $200 per can for the ATF or is bn it $200 per paperwork? I know on a 4473 you can buy multiple guns on 1 background check.

I am thinking about trying to get 1 rifle can that will cover most things, and then probably a 22lr and or pistol can.

Ya, with the w as rm weather they are probably still pretty high up the mountains. Makes it tougher. Gotta find some water to sit or something.

I have 104 rounds of this ammo. Price is $60 for all of it. As you can see I am basically asking what I paid after tax. PM me if interested. I am in North Glendale, but work downtown near the airport.

Yep. I was in cabelas a couple months ago looking for camo. Only Sitka and Redhead. Cheap crap, or crazy expensive. No selection of hunting packs either. What a waste of the "worlds premier outfitter"

Good for sure. Scheels will be awesome to have to. Or maybe scheels buys sportsmans.

I had 5lbs made this time, my buddy got 20lbs. It is good.

I have been using Millers Southwest with good results. They have a cold trailer up in Forest Lakes you can drop the meat at as long as it isn't full. Then pick up in Queen Creek. Or drop it in Queen creek if you want. The trailer was there today when I drove through, but once they fill it up, they send it down the hill.

Is that the sub-moa model. The floor plate will usually say that if it is. Any idea round count?

I am thinking about getting a pair of 15x binos and wanted to know if anyone has either of these and how either compare to the competition? Thanks Harley

Not at this time. I am trying to find info from people who have compared Maven to others to see if there claim of better glass for your money seems true.

I have never had nice hunting clothes. I bought a Firstlight merino wool mid layer shirt with hoodie, and DANG I LOVE that thing. Comfortable and keeps you warm. I have had used it a fair amount and it is a go to. It washes out easy, and doesn't smell nearly as fast as other clothes. I also have switched to merion wool boot socks and really like them. I have a couple decent Under Armor midlayer shirts I like, but the merion is better no doubt.

One thing I think I feel from living in AZ all my life is that the summer season seems to be starting later, but ending later. I feel like when I was a kid temps in April and May getting hotter quicker, then they have in more recent years. My mom had a rule that i couldn't go swimming till it hit 95*. I remember swimming on my birthday in early April when I was a kid. Now some years we are not hitting 100* til deep into May. I remember having Thanksgivings outdoors in shorts when I was a kid too though, as well as Thanksgivings when we screened in our carport with plastic and added heaters to get it warm for big dinners. I don't really know...😂

We did a late cow hunt north of Flagstaff years back. We took a toyhauler with pipes and tanks underneath. We bought a roll of air conditioning duct wrap insulation and wrapped the dead air space around the bottom of the trailer. Temps in the teens with wind and it was all good. The ground temp and heat from the camper kept it from freezing.

So I have a 9 year old that will be 10 by April 1. He really is pushing me to put him in for Bison. What do i need to know and what hunts should i target for him? I am sure it is a bit of a pipe dream, but he can start building points, and it always seem like kids draw hunts adults can't. If you want to PM advice that is cool. I have zero experience hunting bison and limited experience on Kaibab.

The funny part is my cow and the new hunters cow are the same size. I am just 300lbs and he is 150lbs. 😂 both were probably 1.5yr old cows. Both of us turned in about 170lbs of meat to the processor between the legs and cut meat bags. The one in daylight was 230lbs turn in weight.

We had a great hunt. We had 4 tags and were able to fill 3 of them. We had alot of hard work to reach the elk grounds, and then had hard but successfully hunts. My buddy and I took 2 adult onset hunters out on a cow tag. One was on his first big game hunt. We were able to get my buddy on his first hunt a great opportunity, and he closed the deal with a nice clean shot. His cow went DRT. My long time hunting buddy was able to close the deal too on a nice one too. Tuesday evening I decided to make a final push as I had to leave Wednesday. We hiked in over 2 miles to get to our spot all uphill. I with about 20 minutes of light left I heard a bull chuckle behind me. I didn't know if he was a single or had a herd. About 10 minutes later the herd made it way into the meadow. The first 5 were a mix of cows and calves. They stayed grouped up so I didn't have a shot. A couple more straggled in, and 1 presented a clean shot so I took it. We packed her out in 1 trip. I am a big dude, but that sucked. I decided it sucked less than hiking another 4 miles round trip though. I took the cut meat and 2 hind quarters. My buddy took the 2 fronts and my rifle. It SUCKED, but we made it and have many awesome experiences and stories from the past week or so. Pic 1 is the first timer. Pic 2 is my long time buddy who got the biggest cow Pic 3 is upside down, but is mine.

1000%. It was windy a few days, but not as cold as that last Flag hunt.
