  1. My dad just put a new set on his truck and had his old set up for sale. 4 tires with plenty of tread left. They are date coded at the end 2011. He replaced them because he is taking a long road trip and didn't want to take any chances. He is disabled and changing a tire would be very taxing on him. I can get depths if you are interested. All 4 tires for $350 obo.

    Cheater, Cheater - WILDCAT NATION

College athletics isn't perfect and needs some cleaning up, but if you really think a scholarship athlete is a slave you are mistaken. They are OFFERED an opportunity to trade there time & skills for an education, a place to live, meals, perks, etc. If they are really good at this job, they then may have the opportunity to trade those same skills for large mounts of money. If the don't have the skills to make money as a professional athlete, they should at least have a college education to help them make money in the real world like anyone else, and have ZERO student debt for it. After 4-5 years they can leave school with the same or better education than most of the kids on campus had the opportunity for (if the chose to work hard) and not have any student loans. How much does an education cost? At most universities these days they are $25K+. How much do you think the average 18 year old kit would make if they didn't go to school and just started work after high school. Maybe he makes the same $25K a year, but that money has to pay for him to live. You get that education plus room & board as a scholarship athlete. The player makes the decision on what they are doing with there life. If you want to stand on a soap box for a college athlete do it for the walk ons and the ones who don't get scholarships. They are the ones who get the shortest end of the stick, but the still had a CHOICE try and make their way in life as an athlete.

    It is reality....Bass Pro/Cabelas

They both suck. I use Cabela's for a few things, but mostly I use them to look at a product to see if I like it, then order it from my LGS or online. If I have to go to a box store sporting goods place and spend money it is Sportsmans.

    Unit 7 East

Make sure to have cloths for cold weather, and wind. Weather plays a huge role in that hunt.
  6. Order now to build later. Most of the barrel manufacturers seem to have a 6+ month waiting list on barrels. Don't sleep on 6.5-06 or 6.5-06AI. Both would be good options on that action. That is what I plan to build someday.
  7. Do what Lance and others have said. Also try and check your barrel twist, and maybe try lighter bullets.

    Honda Vs. Champion Generator

Honda generators are pretty darn good. We had an old champion we abused and ran hard. It lasted but was loud and drank gas. The Honda is much quieter and efficient. You pay for that though.

7e can be interesting for sure. 2 years ago in december we went low with success. Last year low was terrible in december.

    Brass choice

My 300 win mag is using Nosler brass and it is really nice. My 6.5x55 is going to be using lapua brass when I start working with it. It needs a scope first though.

    7E archery cow tag

My first thought is go higher, up in the wilderness area. If it has not gotten cold yet they are still probably up high unless he can find some resident herds down lower.
  12. Fun day today. Thanks for the invite my friend.

    300 win mag load

H1000 & Hornady 208gr ELDM & 210 Berger HVLD are what I am working with on my rifle. They both show great promise. The 208 ELDM's show great potential, but the Bergers are showing great promise too.

    Seating plugs for 10mm/ .40

Flare the brass then seat them without crimp. Crimp as a sperate step. I have to do this with alot of magnum pistol ammo. 357, 44, 45lc, etc. If I load it hot I like to make sure I have a good crimp on it. Sometimes the dies will start to crimp before the bullet is fully seated and mess up the round. That is why I now seat that ammo in 2 separate steps. Seat, then crimp.
  16. Someone needs to let me know where the is... I have a case of shells ready and willing to sacrifice themselves for the greater good...
  17. The 22lr was for fun. Today was the first time he has ever shot a gun.
  18. Who wants to let me tag along on a dairy hunt? My desert hunt this morning was sub par, but today was more about getting my 5 year old to go shoot for the first time. He isn't ready to hunt yet, but he took his first shots today with a 22lr and 410 shotgun.

The ADOT twitter page is actually a really good road conditions resource to help you make a decision which way to go.

Travel Route -- Peoria to Eager

It took me 7hrs to get to payson one year. I left Friday at 430pm from peoria and we got to payson at 1130pm. It took less time to get from payson to durango colorado that night than from peoria to payson. I got to watch the sun come up over new Mexico that morning...
  21. 5 year old is in bed, everything is packed, even if it is a bad fly I have a .22lr packed to take him shooting for the first time.
