For a first timer I would go with a 25-06, 243. The ruger American I shot was a little rough on the bolt but other then that it shot really good. Jmo

It is not that hard to find in the last week i got about 1300 rounds but i do have some real good friends

I have hunted 33 for 24 years and will not this year just because of the number of hunters there are good units with less hunters. But it is still and will always be a good unit.

Today was one of them days when all I can do is thank god for my wife. I get home from work and my wife gives me a sig 1911 22lr and wishes me a happy anniversary. I had said a year or so ago it would be cool to have one. Well I have one and the best person to call my wife. A very understanding wife is hare to come by but thank god he gave me this one. Now it is time to find a lot of food to feed it. Thanks for reading my kind of a brag. But it is truly awesome what she puts up with.
