Rosk Island Arms (Need Your Help)

I have a 1911A Rock Island it is a nice gun for the price. But for just a few hundred more you could get a kimber. But i bought mine from my dad for $300 with 5 magazines all loaded. I have put 300-400 rounds down it and not one jam, stovepipe, or ftf -
I dont know if this will help but my dad shots a 25-06 sendero it flat drives tacks and I shot a 22-250 and it is the same. The bolts are smooth and trigger is crisp. Now it will not be one that you carry all day everyday.

This is what I get with my loads 270 130 gr sst drop 100 yds 2101 ft lbs 0" 500 yds 1127 ft lbs -50.3" 700 yds 800 ft lbs -124.5" 7mm rem mag 139 gr sst 100 yds 2265 ft lbs drop 0" 500 yds 1260 ft lbs -49.3 700 yds 913 ft lbs -121 So if this is a big difference the deer will never know. But with the recoil and extra weight and cost of ammo not that much difference for me

The energy is almost pound for pound with the 7mm. I can't justify the extra weight and recoil

Imo the .270 is a better choice but it will shot with the 7mm out to 700 yard's

There is a guy in willcox saleing them for $150. I have a red tick/bule tick that has good bloodlines from what I was told and he is a great dog so he needed a buddy to play with and I have 2 hounds if I could ever get someone to show me the ropes

I love how the fluting matches up from the bolt to the barrel. It showes that he keeps an eye on detail. Beautiful tool you have there
