Good on him and lucky for you. Good to know he kept his word.

Hard to keep a cat(s) outside as the coyotes feast on them. Got a rat problem myself. Been trapping and think I"ve made a dent but after reading "10 a week for 4 years" .......... not so sure.

Embrace the suck. When success comes it will be exceptionally sweet. Take a break, shoot the rifle, organize camp, gear etc., get some sleep.

Make sure all your legs are tight at the center yoke. Surprised a tall Outdoorsmans does not work for you. Apparently, you do need a beefier tripod.
-
Sirui is a decent head. Not sure which Outdoorsman tripod you have but in my experience the tripod center column height must be relatively short on any tripod when glassing in the wind. A medium Outdoorsman tripod it too short for stand up work unless conditions are very good (no wind).
-
Your tripod should handle an STS 80 without issue unless windy. Likely the tripod head is the issue. What are you using for a head?

Burmuda shorts, Polo shirt and Berkenstocks for checking your cams. Probably wouldn't hurt to drive a Subaru too.

Good to hear!

Stud ram, you did well. Sheep bug bites hard!

^^^ Don't be surprised if it's USFS or BLM monitoring who's utilizing the wilderness.

^^^^ Best post on this thread. Sums up the problem perfectly. That being said, a trailcam ban is unenforceable.

Congrats on a nice buck.

Over under suggestions??
Swivelhead replied to bowhunter-tw's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
Field grade Browning, Beretta, Ruger, Winchester, etc. purchased used. Prices vary depending on condition but expect to spend $1000. O/U's are either right or left handed (cast off, cast on). Make sure you get one that fits. I prefer extractors over ejectors. I'd rather remove the hull than pick it up off the ground. Speaking of budget guns, CZ has a good reputation as do some of the O/U's coming out of Turkey. -

Hard to beat a 26" 20 gauge O/U for AZ quail hunting. Buy a quality firearm and never look back. -
WOW!

Really sorry to hear your family is suffering. Prayers for your family.

My WAG: water softner salt pellets.

Trail camera use as it applies to hunting will eventually be regulated. Those of you who use them ought to get involved on how they will be regulated.

Congrats! Great looking buck.

Was in 2nd grade @ Campo Bello elementary school in north Phoenix. Many of the teachers were in tears.

Contact Nelson Ford, his shop is called "The Gunsmith". If he is unwilling to work on your Colt revolver he will tell you who will.

" I was thinking Lew Early but he was too young". Lew Early won a world championship in the 60's. Not sure if it was a hunting contest or a calling contest. The instructions that came with Circe calls had his name listed (as well as many others noted in this thread). Lew was a client of my fathers during that time period. At my fathers request, Lew let loose with a calling sequence in my dad's office. Dear old dad was impressed.

Takes a whole lot of ammo down the pipe to wear out a properly maintained pistol barrel chambered for a straight walled cartridge. 41 mag ammo is pricy, doubt many 41's out there have been "shot out".

My father used an accountant that had an office in the midrise building that housed the Phoenix Playboy club. Whenever I ran paper to the accountant for my father I'd ride the elevator up to the club. One or two bunnies would greet at the opening of the elevator. I was obviously underage but they would humor me for a minute or two. Good times.
