Went on a prairie dog shoot about 1992 near Seligman, decided I was going to be a PDog assassin. Have not been on a shoot since. Time to let go of the bulk brass since I sold my 22-250. Purchased from Midway a long time ago, brass is nickel plated with remington/peters headstamp. Unprimed, unfired. Sweetheart counted it for me, she says there are 510 pieces. $200 takes it all or 50 cents each. Please contact via PM

Nick, Thanks for posting a link to "Honor the Fallen" on this day of rememberance. I scrolled down to find a young man who gave all, John "Corey" Johnson. https://thefallen.militarytimes.com/army-pfc-john-c-johnson/6567769 Although I did not know Corey, I know his family. The toll on the family is hellish. Prayers to all who have lost a loved one in service to our country. Prayers to those who have family, friends who are still serving. Thanks to all who have served. I too have 38 points and keep on accumulating. I had hoped that there would be a draw for an opportunity to hunt the park, that did not pan out. Not going to sit the park boundary. Hopefully the Houserock herd grows and stays put. If not, I'll end up taking a cow off the Raymond herd at some point. I'm OK with that scenario. Bison are supreme table fare.

Generally, airlines won't allow any perishables on the aircraft that are not frozen, not sure about carry on. Likely, you'll need to have your fish processed then shipped. Trusting your gear to an airline is another story. We've always had people on our excursions who choose not to fly. Generally, they will drive large vehicle(s) with all the gear. The work load for drivers vs airline passengers is another issue. People who drive, provide vehicles, haul gear, accept responsibility for gear, fish, etc. ought to be treated like royalty.

Roof prism 15's require the tall adapter if the the user has a narrow interpupillary distance. The optical tubes will contact the pan head and restrict narrow IPD use with the short adapter. Really the only reason to use the tall adapter. The tall adapter does gain an inch or so of height if your tripod/head combo should require a lift.

Overall, case is in good shape. The bad: Interior foam is getting tired, cannot find the keys. Heavy duty wheeled case, latches work. Measures 44" X 17" X 6.5" $125 OBO

Lot of good advice in this thread. Most of it earned with leather and sweat. Best advice I can give you is to find an area you like and learn it well - "make it your own."

When it comes to finding live springs, tinajas, etc. there is no substitute for boot leather. Unfortunately, many springs that were live year round are now dry or perennial. Ground water pumping and a general drought have rendered an alarming number of natural water sources non existent. Do your groundwork and you'll be OK.

Where can these be had for $1100 NIB?

I believe many of you will recognize this device. Some of you may have used one. I've found a number of them while burning boot leather in Region IV. Curious if anybody knows the how & why ............

Guess what it is, how it's used and why .......

That is a beefed up version of what I've found. The antenna and battery pack are much larger on the units you've found. Interestingly, the battery pack on the units I picked up were 8 AA's and what appreared to be heatsink material in the battery pack. Suspect the batteries get too cold @ high altitude and succumb thus the heatsink. -

Edge, thanks for the explanation. Basically, doping the wind, air density, etc. military style. YPG must use them often, not hard to find. -

Yes, this is a Vaisala 92. A balloon launched GPS enabled weather station. Found quite a few well off the perimeter of the YPG. I figured they were deployed for info relating the either halo jumps or targeting artillery. Without giving up state secrets, anybody know how they are used? -

George. We all need to eat dirt periodically. The equivalent of taking the immune system to the gym.

Saw where a 195" rocky was taken in 6A/22. I realize that is not an official score but WOW!!!! Also, a 189" desert out of 37B. Amazing!

Been spending a lot of time at the house with all the virus BS going on. Lots of deliveries from UPS, Amazon, etc. My dog is the most chicken dog I've ever had. That being said, when the doorbell rings ............

Best bet is to roost a bird if possible, if not, try to find moist drainages with recent sign. My favorite drainages are finger draws near larger drainages (canyons). Get comfortable and prepare for an hour sit while occasionally calling, move, repeat. I don't set up in the bottom of a drainage, usually try to be 75+ yards above the water course. Remain vigilant, on windy days birds will often remain silent and appear out of nowhere. Be patient!
