Apparently a prosecutor and a judge believe there is enough evidence to issue warrants for siezure and presumably arrest. Your brother has a lot at stake. You may want to stay quiet on this issue or at least consult your brothers attorney before providing info to world wide web.

What spine carbons do you suggest? I'm having a heck of time finding aluminum anymore. https://www.cabelas.com/product/EASTON-LEGACY-FEATHER-ARROWS-PACK/2225395.uts?productVariantId=4570776&WT.tsrc=PPC&WT.mc_id=GoogleProductAds&WT.z_mc_id1=04428511&rid=20&ds_rl=1252079&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIoMTy4eCt2wIVWJ7ACh0i1gubEAQYAiABEgK2pPD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds Please dont shoot carbons out of a recurve at game. Buy these. You wont get velocity with a recurve so you need to rely on weight. Carbons are awesome out of a traditional bow. Durability is off the charts. It's easy to get a carbon arrow over 500 grains with steel broadhead adapters, weight tubes and a chunky traditional head. FOC is excellent too. My favorite arrow is a Victory 500 tipped with a Zwickey eskimo on a steel BH adapter (about 200 grains). Use it to hunt jackrabbits in the malapai. Holds up very well.

Reminder: Trail cam meeting/webcast tonight at main G&F office
Swivelhead replied to Lv2hnt's topic in The Campfire
Trail cams allow anybody to have 7/24/365 surveilance of public lands in as many locations as a participant is willing to maintain. I do enjoy looking at all the photos users post. At the end of the day, it is a fair chase issue. I support a ban. -
You'll enjoy it. Have fun!

Does that count? Heck yeah. Congats to the lady Cats.

I don't care what everyone else is putting in for, just what I am putting in for. When I drew my antelope tag I applied for one choice and drew tag #1. I am open to 22 or 24B, not really thinking there are 180 class sheep in any other units right now. Likely, you will draw whatever you want within the next five years.

Interesting point that I had not really looked at. Cant tell how many of them have killed their desert but it looks like last year 18 of the max point holders applied for Rocky and 7 drew. that's just the bonus pass. I am one point shy of max, killed a desert in Nevada a few yrs ago but really want an Az desert ram. Plus I should draw Wyoming or Colorado some day for Rocky. Stay Positive! Based on the 2017 BP reports there were 37 max point holders that applied for RMBS. Seven drew as previously stated, all in the 20% pass. None of the max point holders who applied for RMBS drew in the 1-2 pass. Likely, most of the max point holders applying for RMBS have taken their desert rams. I would assume that 30 of the 66 max point holders are vying for rocky permits. It is likely that the 36 max point holders going for desert sheep will hold out for the very best units. I expect the bulk of the 20% permits will skew to the rocky side of the equation in the short term. Suspect it won't be too much longer and we'll see the 20% pass dip into the next lower point group. I'm no guru but this is what I think will happen.

STOP SHOOTING IMMEDIATELY! No need to entrench a bad habit. Blind bale and do "letdowns" for a few weeks. Safety your release when doing letdowns. Letting down sounds easy but takes serious discipline, we all want to loose arrows but don't do it during this training phase. About the time you're ready to swear off archery alltogether, stand close to a big target and execute a shot. If all goes well, continue. The INSTANT you sense a drivebye, trigger punch, etc. STOP and revert to blind baling & letdowns. The goal is a relaxed shot and an amazing follow through. Do not to shoot when fatigued. These techniques are from the archives of Archery Talk and will work. The trick is to never let panic back into your shooting, i.e. if you are shooting a tournament or at a range with friends and panic sets in, STOP! Either stop shooting or do letdowns the rest of the course. Your scores will suck if panic is ruling the day anyway.

I'm curious, if it's all volunteers doing the hauling, where does the $1,000,000.00+ cost for hauling water I keep hearing about come from? Haven't heard about a $1,000,000. cost for hauling water. Our little 3 man crew has moved 49,900 gallons of water over 3,100 miles of not so friendly N AZ backcountry and we have only been in 5B north and 7E. Others in 7W and 9 have probably hauled a lot more. 5BN roads are bad. Got to be hard on equipment. Kudos to all who haul water for our wildlife.

The CBD, etc. sue, it's what they do. They are attorneys who can't make it without government welfare, i.e. the Justic Act.

I too know people who are currently having this issue. I also have a friend who had this issue over a year ago and ended up losing points. He did negotiate with G&F to get some points restored, they wanted to wipe his slate clean. I take screen shots regularly of my BP totals, draw results, etc. I'd suggest you all do the same. If anybody has a better way to document things, I'm all ears.

Your feeling on the proposed trail camera restriction (ban)
Swivelhead replied to Capt. Don Martin's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
7-24-365 surveilance is the issue. Multiple trail cams at many water sources is another. AZGF will have a tough time enforcing this ban. Probably should have started a fee/permit system for cams. Fund education with the proceeds. -
Heck yeah! Good job dad.

Assuming what you have posted is true, it would be nice if the perps could be found. It would be appopriate that they face jail time and then bankruptcy.

Spotters need substantial objective size to handle magnification 30X and beyond. Especially in low light. Personally, 65mm is the minimum I'd go with on a spotter. Assuming the Kowa 550 is optically the equal of the latest 15X56 Swaro HD's, @ 30X your image brightness will 50% of the Swaro HD's. However, with the Swaro HD's you.d be using both eyes increasing the apparent brightness. The single image will likely be somewhat further degraded when the gray matter is resolving the said image. Unfortunately, with spotters, size matters. Another issue, Kowa (Leica too) only warranty product to the original purchaser. There is no question both companies make elite products, unfortunately, the resale is not as good as manufacturers who do offer transferable warranties. Good luck finding one but a used 62 mm Leica APO is a great compromise. Good luck with your search.

Prior to making a case to the AZGF Commission, it would be appropriate for CAPAZ to post a link on this site, to any proposal for funding education that they intend to present to the commission. A substantial number of committed AZ outdoorsmen peruse this site. CAPAZ purports to represent AZ outdoorsmen, I say, show us your cards. On another note, I think resistance to some type of funding to educate the general public about hunters, fishermen and AZGF is waning. Long term, I don't think education by us will overcome the baloney spouted by our own local media, social media, public education, etc. Still, education of the urbanite masses is likely our best shot at preserving the north American model. I've got a few ideas that have rattled about in the void. #1 - Exempt wildlife management in AZ from the ballot initiative process. Difficult but possible through legislation. To me, this is the ultimate goal. Even if this became a reality, we still ought to educate the public about the north American model and all the work critter groups do in partnership with AZGF. #2 - Assess all licenses (hunt & fish) 3$ to go to a habitat fund. Money would be allocated via HPC as it is currently done. Allocate current auction tags and big game super raffle funds for education. Critter groups would still conduct the auctions, raffles, etc. but the money would go to education rather than habitat. How the education fund would be spent is the next question, Don't know how to effectively do that as I don't have a marketing degree. -

Red, I appreciate that you attempted to educate petitioners concerning the recent ballot initiative by HSUS. Thank you. I just happen to disagree with using a state asset to fund a PAC. -

The last time a tag grab attempt occurred (2012), CWT was ground zero for putting a stop to it. To me, it is obvious CAP, ADA, etc. are aware this is where the latest tag grab attempt will be debated amongst the general hunting public. I believe this is why we have various members, new and old, orchestrating a campaign to sell the idea to the vigilant members here. Fortunately, this proposal will likely die. I will do my best to make it so. I see no need to go to meeting to voice an opinion, these groups have their minds made up, they want tags and nothing else. When the issue is proposed to the commissioners, it will be time for action. -

Still here, don't post much these days. Vigilance will rule the day. At some point (if it gets that far) the latest proposal will require legislation. At that time it will be appropriate to contact legislators. Meanwhile, it won't hurt to contact commisioners to voice your opinion on this matter. Wonder which legislator the players will grease this time. Ironically, many of the same tag grab players are involved. If it gains traction, suspect most of the original players will be all over it. Control over primo AZ hunting permits = POWER, $$$ and prestige. When the time comes, I will fight this or any proposal like it to the best of my abiltiy.

Don't think it matters. The head color and glass eyes seem to be the most important aspect.
