Those of you who patronize this establishment might want to attempt to educate the operators about the current health of AZ cat populations. -
I enjoy a social camp but a small camp (or solo) tends to sharpen my focus on the task at hand. I say go for it.

This ^^^^^^^ I would never advocate ground sluicing game birds however one foot in the air is OK.

I've killed all my turkeys right at sundown! Find their roost trees and ambush then as they come in. Awesome!!They use the same trees often?just get up real early and shoot them in the roost. Easiest way to do it.Unethical, not to mention illegal. Not agreeing with it but I'm not sure there is ant actual wording in a law saying you can't shoot them from the roost. It's legal in the state of AZ to shoot from the roost providing legal shooting hours are observed. SCAR outlaws the practice. If somebody needs a bird that bad, I'd suggest a visit to Bashas.

I've witnessed a "late rut" a numerous times. Suspect cows that were not bred successfully in Sept. come back into estrus a month later. Young cows experiencing their 1st estrous could be "late". Don't have a take on the wolf issue but it is plausible that bulls would hang in groups to avoid predation.

Need a ballot initiative on ballot initiative's. -
No need for wannabe LEO's. See a violation, call it in. Be a good witness, do what you can then ...... let it go.

Roger Goddel and NFL ownership dropped the ball on this one. Millionaires protesting on 32 billionaires nickel all while offending most Americans. President Trump has it right. Fire the sob's.

Anyone with experance hunting area 45 A, B and C

Assuming you are talking the rifle hunt: Most reasonably accessible water sources are "staked out" prior to the opener. Lots of California plates. Tough hunt but some very nice bucks live there. The January archery season is dominated by out of state hunters. Deer density is very low. Water is usually plentiful (tinajas) in January so water sources are not all that productive. Beautiful place in January. Bring a shotgun, decent quail hunting there. -
Spend the extra money on a fluid movement 2 way pan head. Fluid heads are slightly heavier but well worth the added weight.

Need an overdraw. Trying to put a rig together (recurve) for an archer with a 34" draw (6'9" with long arms). The longest arrows we could find are 33" throat to insert. Not even close to achieving full draw with these arrows. I'm hoping somebody has a RH overdraw collecting dust somewhere that they'd let go cheap. Thx in advance.

Being your time is limited, I'd recommend coming over a week before your hunt starts and do your scouting then. Patterns change substantially between Sept and Nov.

You'll know soon enough. Congrats on drawing a permit.

IMO you did nothing wrong. Salt pits, cameras, waterhole/blind/treestands tend to make people who place such hunting aids believe they are entitled to an area. There is drama with these methods. End of story.

I'm collecting points hoping things will change for the better. I detest hunting boundaries whether unit, state, private, municipal, park, etc.

Whats the longest youve left an Elk in the field
Swivelhead replied to trphyhntr's topic in Elk Hunting
I've abandoned blood trails at night when it became obvious a nighttime recovery was unlikely. Of the elk recovered the following day (no later than 10 am), I lost no meat. Suspect most of them expired in the early morning hours, less than 8 hours before discovery. Some of those were nasty bone outs. Even on short blood trails, early season meat recovery is an emergency situation IMO.
