    Youth Turkey Camp

TJ, Thanks for all of your help at the camp. This Youth Mentored Turkey Hunting Camp is successful because of the dedication of the volunteers that help out from beginning to end. We would not be able to host as many kids without the volunteers like TJ that cooked meals for all the camp attendees. We would not have been able to make sure all the new hunters were assisted by experienced mentors without those volunteer mentors. Many G&F Wildlife Managers make it a point to stop by camp and talk with the kids, families and volunteers. Providing youth with a chance to hunt and learn from mentors helps to reinforce that hunting is ok. If you ever get a chance, even for a day to help at one of these camps you will find no greater reward than the smile of the kids and many of them are going to be good ambassadors to help us pass on our hunting heritage. Thanks again to all the volunteers, you all deserve a pat on the back for a job well done. Steve

  15. PM answered. It looks like it is a used Browns Precision rifle. It has their stock and a different trigger. I don't know anything about the rifle and the guy I am helping doesn't remember what it was. He bought a lot of his guns at Outdoorsmans here in town. I will take it to them and have it looked at. 21. I have a scene of a Mountain Lion attacking a Javelina that was made for a place I used to have. I don't have a place for it and am trying to see if there might be some interest from a lodge, cabin owner or business that has the room. The base was made to bolt to a wall and the scene is angled to be viewed from below. The base is 8' X 3'. If anyone is interested please contact me. Looking for a buyer or ideas to sell it at this point. I would like to get $2500 for it if possible. Steve rthrbhntng@cox.net
  22. TTT Lowering to $575 before putting on Gunbroker. Great deal on a rifle that is ready to hunt with. Thanks for looking.

Proposed Access Agreement on Boquillas Ranch

Packer, A better tool for stopping the 40 acre ranchettes is to find landowners that want to and the funds to purchase a conservation easement. Cheaper than buying outright and still retains access, benefits the ranch owner and thier family, benefits the public if done right, benefits wildllife. If it is a matter of economics for the rancher or landowner rather than greed this can work well. There are many tax benefits to conservation easements. There are groups in Arizona looking for opportunities to fund conservation easements for wildlife and access through conservation easements. Steve, Arizona Elk Society
