  1. Come out and help Arizona Outdoor Adventures raise money to rebuild their camps for Kids. Dan Priest and his family do a fantastic job taking underprivileged kids into the woods and teaching them about hunting, fishing and camping. This should be a great event, loads of fun. They have some great raffle prizes and other give-a-ways. Play the Casino games or enter the High-Roller Poker tournament. Sponsored by the Arizona Elk Society. http://azoutdooradventures.org/

Webcast tonight regarding the "Education" funding

I didn't know that the new Department committee has had any public meetings. To my knowledge they just put the committee together and other than the webcast powerpoint tonight they have not contacted the public yet. AZkiller we are talking about the NEW Department Committee and the last Commission meetings, not the old meetings held at Bass Pro.

Webcast tonight regarding the "Education" funding

It is my understanding that it was supposed to be all ideas except Tag fees and License increases. Still leaves a habitat Stamp, or other stamp, on the table. They would like it to be a discretionary (Voluntary) purchase idea. I am curious if we raise the Admin fee of $13 to $15 and use the $2 for the C&P education. There have been some good ideas floated and hope to see them put out for discussion in the public, hopefully the AZGFD will be transparent like they said but so far not the case. There are still a lot of unanswered questions that have been asked of them and they beat around the answers or avoided them all together. With the people that are pushing their agendas and the Department meeting behind closed doors we may never know what is happening and who is pushing the ideas.

    AZGFD wants your ideas

The Department has been tasked by the Commission, who is not too much in favor of the raffle tags, to come up with ideas that can raise the 1.5-2 million dollars they need to keep and expand the Departments Conserve and Protect program. If you have some ideas to raise a bunch of money they want to hear from you. There are a bunch of good people working on this issue that want other solutions than the Tags and that is not the base plan at this time.

    AES- Volunteer water haulers

Thank you to all the volunteers and those that want to help. 90% of where we are hauling in in Units 9-7W-7E-5BN, For the rest of this week we are taking a break during the rain storms. It is muddy in some of the areas. It does sound like Unit 9 did not get very much precipitation so we will be concentrating there probably the end of the week or this weekend. As far as the needs we have for the volunteers we do have a couple of 1000 gallon tank trailers - these will need a 3/4 or 1 ton 4WD truck to haul, for the 500 gallon we need at least a 1/2 ton 4WD. In each case the driver needs to have experience hauling trailers off road. It is very rocky and many of the roads are in disrepair so experience is good. The best thing to do if you want to help is go to this link and fill out the info...https://arizonaelksociety.org/water-for-wildlife-volunteer-form
  10. Check out the upcoming AES all day Elk Clinic, hosted by Dan Adler. Dan will be joined by other elk hunting experts and you will have a chance to learn all the ins and outs of hunting elk in Arizona. Get your tickets at https://www.arizonaelksociety.org/project/annual-elk-clinic, the admission includes lunch.

    Maps showing all water sources?

Currently there is no map showing all the water sources. By combining maps and chips you can get a bunch but many were written off many years ago. You will find a ton of the ones not on the maps by using google earth, you will even find wallows and temporary waters on google earth. There are many types of water sources in AZ. Dirt Tanks, depressions, wallows, springs, creeks, rivers, G&F catchments, ranchers pipelines with troughs (some of the pipelines don't work and are not connected but the troughs still hold water), new and old Forest Service catchments (many hundreds of these, many don't work but still hold a little water after rains), even personal little small catchments throughout the woods. 2011 Ram 2500 suspension question

The plates are a cheap way to lift it. Not a bad way if you just need an inch. Hard to see but the reason it may not be squatting is your leaf springs are wore out. Usually there will be a larger space between the overload (bottom leaf) and the regular spring pack.
