Pretty nice looking pre 64 Winchester model 70 in 30-06. Made about 1954. $800 Located in south Tempe area.

I think it's original but I don't consider myself an expert on the model 70.

No, as I recall, the hollow bolt knob was a cost/weight reduction change made in the early 1950s.

Wish I had a place for it

I found myself looking at the Vortex Razor 12x50 ad this morning and almost decided to buy them....as I was thinking about it, I realized that I already have too many binoculars and that I should be going the other way. So, here's a good set of Docter 15x60's that I'd like $450 for. The lenses are in very good condition. I'm in the south Tempe area.

Might be open to trades, too.....Ruger Old Army, Vortex Razor, Vortex Kaibab, and I'm sure other things, too.

Well, ok, not really Tom Petty but a tribute band called the Heartshakers. It is this Friday at Casino Arizona at 7:30. I have two tickets I can't use. They are two at either T4 or T5 on the map below (I can't remember which and I don't have them with me). I paid $40 for them and just looking to get my money back. Their show is sold out. Taylorz1 seems like a good guy. I'm sorry these weren't what he is looking for and I know it was a drag to drive from Tucson to Casa Grande only to be disappointed. What he's saying about them is true and I probably should have been more clear in my description about them (I'm not sure I'd call the added finish on the 270 thick but that is a minor thing). In my mind, they are not high end collectibles and are shooter grade guns and I didn't go into a lot of detail of all the defects. I had offered them to him for $650 each and I will offer them to anyone here for that price. I found a set of new Leupold pre 64 scope bases that I'll throw in for the one without any bases on it.

Open to trade ideas, too.
