Any one used BRUNTON binos? A friend of mine says that for the money they are darn good. He has swaros, and he say the only difference is during low light. Other than that he said they were comparable to swaros. Never used brunton but i thought i'd throw that out there.

I don't think any of us purposely want to ruin any ones hunt. I do know they are out there though. I was hunting with a friend in 32 last year and made our way to a group of deer. As we topped over the ridge i saw another hunter already on the deer. So i told my friend "lets go, he's already on them deer". My friend said "those deer aren't just his deer. Those deer are everyone's, not just his." I told him he was an idiot and started to walk in the opposite direction. After i got 50 yards away he caught up to me and didn't say a word. After 100 yards of walking we spotted a huge mule buck. We didn't get a shot at the deer but KARMA got us in a good way. If we wouldn't have left the first herd of deer for the other hunter, we wouldn't have seen the 4x4 mule. KARMA WILL GET YOU. Hopefully my friend learned his lesson. To everyone hunting dec and january, GOOD KUCK.

hi guys, i received a garmin etrax legend personal navagator for christmas from my girlfriend. I have never thought of getting one for myself but now that i have one i want to put it to good use. I've read the instructions and really can't get the feel of it. Do i need to download any information to the gps unit before i use? what about mapping on the unit? Does anyone have any good advice for me besides rereading the instructions. By the way, have a merry merry christmas .

Well i sat my first stand saturday. Got it right as the sky was starting to lighten. sat in the treestand, got my safety harness on and was about to pull up my bow and realized i had dropped the rope to pull up my bow. well i finally settled in and i nearly froze. I had plenty of clothing, just couldn't keep warm after walking in some deep snow to get to the stand. well after 4 grueling hours of trying to keep warm i got down and walked around to see where the trails i saw led to. about 90 yards from my stand i found a dead fawn. no blood, no puncture wounds, no missing hair, just dead. i was thinking the poor little thing coundn't handle the temps on the mountain. I didn't see any other deer except for the deer i found dead. it was fun trying the stand out for the first time and freezing.

Man that was a beautiful story!!!! Once i started that thread i couldn't stop. I read bits and pieces to my girlfriend as i went along. She and i were so happy things worked out for her and her two kinds. Kudos to all the hunting community that helped out and all the prayers that were sent. Gamehauler, if i don't catch the pictures and stories when they are posted, let us know so we can check it out.
