What part of the valley is he in? I'm sure we have members here that would help him with this either at Bev Avery or at Rio Salado.

Thanks for the offer. I've been busy and didn't see this until now. He's near 44th/Thomas. I guess he called Ben Avery and they told him they would help for a $15 charge but they kind of mucked it up when he went out there. First round was 2" left of center and they spent another 13 or so rounds trying to dial in and ended up 1" right of center and telling him they needed to close for the day and to come back. Good thing ammo and gas are cheap. 🙄

  2. Good writeup and thanks for sharing. At least you had a good time being in elk every day - opposite of my hunt in 11M, where it was hot and they were extremely quiet and we saw very few animals. You're doing the right things (except the taking off and leaving behind of your pack) and it will pay off for you at some point.

Been a while since I hunted 6A. I'm hoping they're still active and calling in the 3rd week of October. I'm helping my dad on his CHAMP hunt but only have the first 2 days to get it done before coming back to start a new job. He is moving really slowly these days. Probably his last elk hunt.

  3. Solid bow. All of Hoyt's research & development without the hefty price tag of their top of the line bows. I have the model before that (Turbohawk - same but with no string stopper) and it's a shooter. Killed my first archery bull with it in 2012 and it's my backup bow these days. Best of luck with the sale.

  4. Beautiful dogs. Love the point shots. 2 years too soon for me. Will get another pointer in 2 to 3 years. Good luck on the sale and I will keep an eye out for the next group

Yep. Me as well. My GSP is going to be 17 in 2 months and even though I screwed up by not having enough time to dedicate to his training, he's been a great addition of the family and by far the best dog I've owned.

  5. Good bow at a hard to beat price. I use the predecessor to the Powermax (the Turbohawk) as my backup after using it as my primary bow for several years and killing my first archery bull with it. All of Hoyt's R&D without all the cost.

    Good luck on the sale!
