  1. I am interested in the high country bows. They will warranty their bows domn to around 3 grains per inch arrow weight. Read about guys shooting 370-380fps! Kinda scarry, but would be cool to shoot that fast.

Really? Your glad you have to now camp in very small areas with alot of other people? Are you also glad you just lost some more of your rapidly disapearing freedom? Im sorry, but I just cant understand how anyone could be happy about this.

    Kaibab Deer questions

If the kaibab and paunsigunt platues get a good snow, big bucks will move into 12bw. The early hunt is pretty much dependent on snow. I am in the same boat as you guys. Cant decide were to put in.

Early/Mid 1990's Ford Bronco: Any Feedback?

Wow...I totally forgot about the 4Runner..good suggestion. Obviously, the V-6 would be preferable for making the long drive up the hill from the Valley. Will the 4Runner go most places (terrain-wise) a Bronco will go? Dont dismiss the 22r four cynlider engine. Great motors that last a long time. Thanks again for the tip. I would be willing to bet they would go places a bronco wont go. And yes, you can fit five people in one. Dont dismiss the 22r four banger . Very good engines

Early/Mid 1990's Ford Bronco: Any Feedback?

Honestly for 5k you would be beter off geting a 4 runner or something like one. Gas will eat you up in a bronco, and maintaining them will also cost a bunch. You can beat the crap out of a toyota and they keep going. jmo Auto lockers are engaged by putting the vehicle in 4x4. You dont have to do anything else. Having manual hubs means you have to lock both hubs, and when you are done using 4x4 you have to unlock them. They are on the front axle at each end of the wheels, but they are far more reliable and less prone to failure. Again jmo

You can call, or download the maps. http://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/coconino/landmanagement/projects/?cid=stelprdb5356224 I just reviewed the maps again, and am having a hard time finding anywhere on coconino, that you can't drive within a couple of miles of, that's not a wilderness area. There's still a ton of roads criss crossing everywhere, just not seeing why you guys are getting so bent out of shape. The reason I am so bent out of shape is because the forest belongs to the people, not the forest service. If you give the government an inch, they will take a mile. If we lay here and take it, they will just take more later on. As I have said before I am not against closing some of the newer atv roads. But the thing that really gets me is the camping restrictions. There are very few places left to camp without being cramed with a bunch of other people. Just try and look at the big picture. They wont stop with these restrictions. Next will be pay to play. We cant let it get that far.

Honestly if they dont post the roads as closed, I see no way they can enforce these rules. They will have more court cases than they can handle. This is going to be a nightmare for campers and forest service alike. Try telling a guy who has camped in a certain spot with his family over the years, maybe decades, he cant be there anymore. Its not going to be good. Not well thought out at all imo.

I am just gonna take a guess here but ill bet your pretty young and have never thought about getting older and how that will effect the way you enjoy the outdoors. If my granfather were still alive, these new laws would have severly impacted hunting for him. Older folks and people who are disabled like to use the woods too. Someday all to soon you wont be young and mobile like you are today. Ill bet you think now that all these roads are closed that you are gonna have the woods to yourself. I think you are in for a surprise. People are still gonna ride atvs were ever they feel like it. Always have always will.

My thoughts are its a joke. just another step in getting hunters out of the woods. These forest are supposed to belong to us. That is just not true anymore. You can bet thet wont stop here once we "accept" the new bull crap rules. I am so frustrated, I dont know were to begin... Just another freedom lost in a society thats being pushed around and made to conform.

Most Wallow fire closures are OPEN!!

You should look at the bigger picture. I understand closing some roads due to safety issues, but as far as the rest of the az forests, they are telling us what we can do on OUR public lands. Dont think for a second theres not more to it than closing roads. Its just one of many steps.

More wolves and maybe grizzies will probably be in the works. I used to not be a conspericy theorist, but after what I have seen the last few years, I am starting to think the hammer is coming down. We are being taken over by the forest service and all the new travel manegment plans. Its just a step to end our way of life. I cant imagine what it will be like in 20 years! Now is the time to get involved if you really care about hunting ,fishng and being in the outdoors. These freaks will take it! Get involved! I am going to join rmes as a start, and plan to join more orgs that are willing to put up a fight. Enough is enough...

Any problems with chase? I have banked with them for years, and sure dont want to support any bank that is against guns or hunting.

Long range accuracy from fixed blade heads???

Tell us what your specs are. Bow poundage, arrows ect. The most important thing is having arrows that are spined for your bow. If your arrows are weak spined, you will have a hard time tuning fixed heads. Alot of forward of center will also make tuning fixed heads easier.

I hope they take those suggestions and change alot of things. Very good letter from aes. A ton of good points, especially about safety of children having to camp so close to the roads. Thank you guys for your efforts.

    Sportsmen's bill passes U.S. House

I have no faith in our government either. I just hope that they consider how much money, hunting, fishing, and recreational shooting generates for our economy. The Dem's are good at throwing away money. If this relies on the presidents sig, good luck. Sure hope he does

coconino forest changes starting in may

As far as suggestions, for one they should have enforced the off road laws that were in place. They will now hire a bunch more "enforcers" and will ticket campers for being more than 30' off the road. They should have hired these guys and put them on atvs and busted the guys who were breaking the law. They werent that hard to find. I agree with others that this is the first in many steps to get us out of the woods or charge fees anywhere we go.
