i've heard of people poaching animals and wiring their antlers to a tree to come back later and "find" the dead head. it looks like this was their intent and they were caught by the camera so they panicked. judging by the neck size, it looks like it was a mature buck to me. small bucks always have really scrawny necks

AZGFD.GOV is the foremost authority for honeyholes in all units. The hunt unit description will tell you the exact spots to look. the spots they list are the only areas within the listed unit that hold the game species you are after. No sense in even wasting your time anywhere the G&F page doesn't list

Removing rubber coating from savage stock
GreyGhost85 posted a topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Anyone done this? The rubber coating on my LRH is already in bad shape after one hunt and i would like to strip the rubber coating and paint the stock. The gun shoots amazing for a non custom, so i would like to keep the factory stock on it. Any suggestions or experience in doing this? -
Removing rubber coating from savage stock

I thought about that, but would still need to get the rubber off. Think I'm gonna sand it off and paint it. Might try to see if any solvents i have would eat it off, but that might turn into a sticky mess -
I made osso bucco following Steven Rinella's recipe with some coues shanks last night. Unreal good, very rich and filling meal. Can't wait to get home for some leftovers. http://themeateater.com/2013/venison-osso-bucco-recipe/

Removing rubber coating from savage stock
GreyGhost85 replied to GreyGhost85's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Thanks for the suggestion. Best case scenario, savage sends me a new stock and the rubber coating gets chewed up on that one as well. I am pretty hard on equipment. Don't want to go with a replacement either. I'm sure i am not the only one that has had this issue -
If revolvers are shot much at all, there is a wear ring on the cylinder. This one hasn't been shot much at all. Do you have the magnum cylinder as well?

Whoa. What a buck

Unless you are waaay in, where you see the elk now will not be where they are when the shooting starts

Zeiss Conquest HD 15x56 vs Swarovski SLC 15x56
GreyGhost85 replied to Bassmaster's topic in Optics and tripods
The zeiss are better and their warranty is now a no-fault warranty. Just like vortex. I have had them side by side with swaro slc non hd, neu and the new hd. They are better than than non hd slc and the neu, but the new hd's have the edge. -
that probably has more to do with genetics than moisture. moisture does help though. huge bucks for sure

I have a savage LRH in .338 Lapua with a Burris Veracity scope and high dollar rings and base. In it for about $2500 minus reloading stuff. It shoots excellent. 1/4 MOA accuracy

I was upset at my butchering job this year because some of the meat got a little grass on it. i take a LOT of pride in my ability to break an animal down and get ALL the meat. Hauled every scrap of meat over 2 miles in a rainstorm and almost killed myself because that's how it should be! This stuff disgusts me. It looks like they did a nice clean job on the parts they did take too. Not a novice that just didn't know better. Why hunt? That is a very small buck it looks like, why shoot a "meat buck"0 if you're not even going to take the meat? I hate seeing these posts. They are starting to be a regular thing on here.

Verizon will get you the most reliable service in the state. I build sites for AT&T and use Verizon for my personal phone -
Congrats man. I know you guys worked hard for that buck

Relax. It's just cell site upgrades. I am involved with many of them. Cell companies get busy in the 4th quarter, trying to meet their construction milestones -
