i'm beginning to think you are trolling. another random topic

i have never bought into the "expensive camo fad", or even really worn much camo, until recently. i purchased a fair amount of Kuiu Teton camo because it is priced pretty fair. i have to admit, the stuff is awesome. it keeps me warm when it's chilly out and cool when it's hot. Does not get all stretched out like cotton after wearing it for a day either. the pants are built extremely well and are very comfortable and flexible. i figure wearing the same set for 3 days is a better option than packing a fresh set of clothes every day. one good set will replace most of my other hunting clothing.

savage 111LRH 338 lapua. .4MOA with 285gn A-Max. Should do a number on a coues i would imagine. Sure hope to find out

Yeah, i kinda miss having those bulls euro'd. They are both shoulder mounted now

The "stay at home unless you uave a tag" attitude is ridiculous. From now until jan 31 there are hunts going on dang near every day in a LOT of units. If you want to go call in elk for practice, by all means do it. How are people supposed to master something they do for a week or two every 10 years? Not everyone is a guide or goes on rut hunts every year. There are things far more detrimental to a hunt than a couple guys out there calling in bulls when they don't have a tag. Unbelievable.

Not sure what you're getting at there Pard'. Even after 3 seperate threads.

Shot these bulls back to back in 2009 and 2010. Left bull is a hair over 400" and shot on the 6th day of a late bull hunt. Right bull is 374" if i remember right, shot on the 3rd day of an early archery hunt.

I take it akaSpecial Olympics did not get as many people on board with him here as he was hoping. I don't like hearing about a person wounding multiple animals in the same hunt and wish more people would consider a mortally wounded, lost animal as a punched tag but there is no law against it. Misses happen. I've been taking a friend hunting the last couple august archery deer seasons and he is a good shot and seasoned hunter. Missed 7 consecutive shots within 60 yards before he finally connected, i just laughed about it. No harm (other than mental) done. Buck fever is no joke and happens to the best of us. Once that buck fever stops, it's probably time to find a new hobby.

the closer to your face you can get it, the better they work. i use them on the summer bear hunts when gnats are unBEARable (pun not intended). i have had best luck hanging them around my neck.

Whoa...take it easy cockeye. Take some of that aggression out on landowners, not us

I'm sure Lance's comment has to do with the fact that he can't draw a tag with 22? Points, all the while people gripe about drawing tags. I would gladly trade my 18bp for that tag, and i wouldn't have regrets.

Giant Archery Arizona Coues Buck by Hunter James Dudley
GreyGhost85 replied to Jay Scott's topic in Jay Scott Outdoors/Colburn and Scott Outfitters
I spoke with James about this buck. After crunching numbers and seeing different pictures and video, I was wrong in my original judgement. I will not say an exact number that i came up with, but it is a lot closer to 140" than i thought. Huge bodied and deer and a big dude standing next to it changes a lot of perspective. Huge buck with crazy mass. Love seeing an average Joe kill animals like. this -
So, after about 10 years and 20 or so animal pack outs, i figure it is time to wash my pack. It smells awful when it gets wet. I guess an accumulation of blood from bears, elk, deer, turkeys, javelina and antelope will do that. I have an Eberlestock Dragonfly, so it's a really big, bulky pack and won't fit in the washer. What do all of you guys do to wash your packs? It needs a serious cleaning, not just a quick scrub. Any ideas are geeatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Giant Archery Arizona Coues Buck by Hunter James Dudley
GreyGhost85 replied to Jay Scott's topic in Jay Scott Outdoors/Colburn and Scott Outfitters
Huge buck, and huge congrats to the hunter. I will probably never shoot a deer that big, especially DIY, archery spot and stalk. Congrats again, I thoroughly enjoyed the story. -
Most of the animals in there come from tajikistan, pakistan, etc. waay up in the mountains in some very hostile places. The big ones are members of the argali sheep family. Amazing animals.

Holy ovis and capra

Sounds like i'll be filling up the bathtub. Thanks for the input. Update. I'd say it was about time. Yuck. The smell coming out is terrible

in the video he is bout 3X the size of that little coues buck. really weird, long, skinny tail, muley face, huge body... nice buck, regardless but i would bet money on a hybrid.

there was a pretty good post that turned into this topic a couple weeks ago http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/topic/59846-cell-service-help/?hl=+cell%20+phone%20+signal

Tell me about your experience with Buck Bomb products

They are illegal in az. 'Nuff said -
here is the blind that i mentioned. http://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/guide-gear-5-hub-ground-hunting-blind?a=956773 it was on sale when i bought it. still a great deal though. it sets and folds down incredibly easy. for that price, it wouldn't be too big of a deal if something happened to it. i have spent a LOT of time in a few different blinds, and like i said, i actually have preferred this one over any of the others. shoot through mesh works well too, if you are not shooting an expandable. a pretty nice coues buck would attest to these statements a few days ago.
