Hiding is the key. I've been running up to 10 cams at a time for 10-12 years now and never had one stolen, never locked one either. There is not any kind of a lockbox out there that will keep a thief from being a thief.

Hahahaha. Usually people aren't so blunt about asking for a honey hole with post #1. Gotta love e scouting on the first post. Go to azgfd.com and look at the unit overview pages. Buy a map. Drive to unit. Put boots on ground

Camerlandny.com is a GREAT place to buy optics and they are sponsor. I buy most of mine from them. They have demo models of the 15x zeiss for sale and you can save a few hundred bucks. Demo models are basicallt new. They are used as display binos is all. Never been out in the field

You could definitely get a lot more money if it was seperated and counted. An hour of work could amount to double the profit. I would be interested in just the .223

the people i know that get after it usually only keep 1-2 a season. i know a lot of the old timers say they have caught state record sized cats but they always throw them back. they are very good eating, especially the belly meat

120-130". still a youngin'. most likely 3.5 years old. might be 150"ish (+-10 ") this year with good moisture

the idea behind "big eyes" is to get that big magnification (30X+)
-
rumor has it, there is a guy in prescott with a machine shop that is savvy with the whole process and will make you an adapter to turn any two matching spotters into a pair of "big eyes". Kevin Passamore was talking about it on his recent podcast with jay scott. i think he gave contact info at the end of it

Spend your money on reusable gear and scouting...not unnecessary luxuries

keep them. i am 99% sure you will be disappointed in what dollar value they may have

FFP. I've missed animals because of magnification change on SFP.

If they show agression towards me, they are dead. Especially the ones that strike without a rattle.

I think the only thing you can spear are suckers and carp?

Too bad the other side didn't match on the one. Huge bucks

Aren't we special?

used to have the same one, but the 1200 model. lost it on a hunt. it was a red display.

that's gonna be a pretty tall order i think. most of the good rangefinders are red, because black is nearly impossible to see in low-light situations. have you looked through a high end rangefinder? the reticle in them is usually much clearer. cheap rangefinders are exactly that. when they advertise 800-1000 yards, they will usually only work for about 60-70% of advertised range, in a hunting situation. i think they get their range limit that they advertise by shooting them at a big mirror at the specified range. i have a pretty nice, new leupold 1000 and it will realistically only range 800 yards dependably in a hunting situation

Looks like you did not in fact learn how to post pictures

when you extend the tube it makes the setup a lot more wobbly.i have a hard time justifying $500 on a set of aluminum tripod legs. very over priced for what you get IMHO
-
the laptop is nice because you can download the pics and clear off the card. saves having to buy 2 cards for every camera to swap them out. most tablets don't have enough memory to download a multiple 8-16 gig memory cards in a day

i think it might be this one. i don't think vortex "makes" them anymore.http://www.manfrotto.us/055xb-tripod-and-128rc-micro-fluid-head-with-200pl-14-plate. that's the same head mine came with as well, and it works very good. says it extends to 74", which seems about right
