you'll love the Sendero, most people agree that they are the best out of the box LR rifle out there. they are getting hard to come by. i have one in .264 win mag that is probably going up for sale soon. they are heavier than i like to carry

unless you plan on a glass windshield, i would say scratch that idea right away. the Plexiglas windshields are junk. the first time you wash them they get really scratched up and it causes a tremendous amount of glare. in no time at all they are pretty much unusable. as far as tops go, the cloth ones work pretty good for a few years. the aluminum ones tend to rattle pretty bad. molded plastic tops i think are the way to go

Aren't those Roketta quads like $1,200 new?

Archery Deer hunts north of the rim in Dec/Jan?
GreyGhost85 replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
If it will take some of the heat off of unit 27 in January, i am all about it! the city slickers won't have to drive 5 hours just to drive up and down the highway "hunting" all day -
you would think that the system would improve slightly every year. not be more f*&$ed up than the year before

not bashing the rifle at all, it looks like an awesome rig and a great price. i was just wondering why it was built on a short action? is that just what was available or is there a different reason?

a lot of people, including myself do not prefer a tripod that with the twist of a handle comes completely loose. i like the manfrotto style that can be adjusted more to just your liking and allow you to move left/right up/down and still maintain control and be able to let your hands off without losing what is in your picture

Vaquero outfitters..... Ouch that'll leave a mark
GreyGhost85 replied to joelpresmyk8's topic in The Campfire
Yeah, Mcclendon killed what is supposed to be the new world record pope and young typical muley this year. Didn't he have his license yanked a few years back for guiding the gov tag to that big nontypical hanging in the AZGF headquarters? it was shot in someone's back yard -
Shout Out to Sinwagon1 (the Vortex selling guy)
GreyGhost85 replied to lancetkenyon's topic in The Campfire
I'm all about someone saving people on here some cash all while putting a little in his pocket. i dunno if you guys are all aware, but you can google coupon codes for opticsplanet and save 5-10% on all your orders -
Vaquero outfitters..... Ouch that'll leave a mark
GreyGhost85 replied to joelpresmyk8's topic in The Campfire
He already schmoozed his way in the the ORO (Baca Float) and he is the only outfitter that can guide there. Pretty much the only people that get to hunt there are celebrities and rich guys. They charge upwards of 20k for trespass fees to hunt on the ranch. The guy has got to be making money hand over fist and he's still not satisfied -
Vaquero outfitters..... Ouch that'll leave a mark
GreyGhost85 replied to joelpresmyk8's topic in The Campfire
i hope vaquero outfitters gets burned on this deal. that is a sorry thing to do any time, much less during antelope season when people are hunting. it will be a travesty if AZGFD lets Mr. Smith off the hook. The best way to hurt an immoral man is to punch him in the wallet and the only way to do that is to pull his guide and hunting license for a loooong time -
Oh great, more of muleriders holier than thou BS
-
Str8Thief, if you spent half the time trying to hunt yourself that you spend trying to prevent others from doing so, you might not be half @$$ bad at it.

man, what a great turn-around time on that mount. wish my taxi would take notes

Str8shot, go put the Boonedock saints in the vcr and watch them live the life you do behind your keyboard. You should change your avatar picture by taking away his guns and holding a keyboard in one hand and a copy of the regs in the other. Can't wait to get a pic of you on one of my 20 cameras i run over salt licks, that may or may not have a stand placed near them. that'll never happen though, as it's hard to drag your computer desk through the woods
-
Str8shot, you comparing leaving a blind out for what you see is too long of a period to granting illegal immigrants amnesty is one of the most ridiculous things i have seen on this site. maybe you can contact our wonderful president and try to get this "ethical dilemma" that you so often face brought to congress. if it lies as heavily in stature as the illegal alien debate, i am sure our government will have no choice but to enforce it. Basing someone's political stance on his or her decision about how long to leave a stand out is complete BS. You argue that CnS attacks people on this site, when all i see is you attacking a person that doesn't think the same as you. unless someone is actually breaking a law, save your "ethical" BS for someone that cares. i bet your tag soup with a splash of "ethics" tastes great every year too
-
if i hadn't just bought a .338 lapua last week, i would have to think real hard about this one
-
the people on here complaining about someone leaving out a stand or camera longer than what they think should are upset because someone has been out there hunting. they don't like seeing people that put in the extra work before a hunt starts, probably show up to camp on thursday night to start their hunt, and hate the people that have been there for a week in advance scouting and "hogging" the good campsites. Armchair quarterback is correct. there are people out there scouting, hanging stands, placing salt, placing cameras pretty much year round, while some slob behind his keyboard is raising a stink about him doing it because he himself is too lazy to put forth that kind of effort to take an animal and thinks that the person doing it now has an "unfair advantage". should stands and blinds be left out year round? absolutely not. a month before or after the season, why not? ethical=legal. I am a law abiding hunter to the nth degree, but what i do or how i hunt, MANY of these people will think of it as unethical.

good luck. looks like an old J34. they are about that much new

This whole "chasen the king" outfit is starting to really irritate me. Backwoodshunter, if i was the "owner" of the operation i would tell you to slow down, as you are soiling a company's reputation on this site. First the hats, now this? you are a "crew member"? what exactly does that entail? what are you gaining by trying to talk up this grammatically incorrect company?
-
watch the whole video. fake
-
Am i the only one that has noticed "chasen" the king? what is "chasen"? do you mean chasin', or chasing? or is Chasen a person that is in pursuit of a king? who is the king? i feel like for somebody to name a company after chasing him he should be a fairly relevant individual? ooohhh i got it. He is a king, so those are not hats you are trying to sell, they are gold crowns, hence the price. everyone, the advertisement hats contain gold. probably a good buy. might be able to melt them down and they'll be worth their weight in...well, you get the point

their color most times is a direct correlation of the habitat they call home. antlers are "dead" when their velvet is shed. Also, I'm almost positive that is a different buck. the "forked in the back" 3 point configuration is a gene that some mule deer are born with. i think it would be extremely unlikely that a buck will change from a standard 3-point (forked in the front) to the latter of the two. not impossible, but unlikely
