but....If a coues has a forked G2 it HAS to be a hybrid and if a muley does not have a forked G2 it HAS to be hybrid. come on man! it's common sense. This one is CLEARLY a hybrid. It's antlers are even 50/50

OTC NR deer hunters have gotten out of control the last few years. We can thank Hush, Randy Newberg, Gritty and the rest of them for that. I'd like to see our state start catering more towards residents. There are plenty of states that have OTC opportunities for residents that are not available to NR. NR archery deer tags need to become a draw. They cap our NR draw tags and they need to do it to OTC tags as well. I have no clue on percentage but it does FEEL like i see more NR license plates than AZ plates on OTC hunts anymore, especially December/January. In 2018/2019, there was a hardware store in a remote, small town in AZ that sold over 1000 OTC deer tags in december/january that were predominantly NR's. This info came from a game warden that was concerned about it. Same warden said that 80% of the people he checked in the January hunt were NR's.

I hit a buck in the 10 ring in august (little high/far back for a 12). got him through both lungs still. I saw the shot and figured he'd be dead in 50 yards when he bolted behind a little rise. That little sucker made it probably 300-350 yards. I found him but I could really see how someone with a little quit or less experience wouldn't have. Not much blood at all. I've killed a dozen or so animals with a bow and that is the only one that made it more than maybe a hundred yards. Amazing how much country they can cover in a few seconds. He took off like an absolute rocket when it hit him. I wouldn't be surprised if he was only on his feet for 20 seconds before he died.

All this bill is, is the dems attempt to buy everyone off before Biden takes office.

The G&F must have been having a bad day. He was out between QC and Florence in a farm field doing some target shooting. A dove landed on the railroad tie that he had his target on and he shot it. G&F had been watching. They got him for EVERYTHING. Hunting out of season, hunting without a license, illegal method of take, wanton waste of game meat, trespassing, littering (brass), destruction of private property (railroad tie).

When i was in high school they did hit my buddy with the same thing and absolutely threw the book at him. Coupoe thousand in fines, probabation, loss of hunting privileges for 5 years, etc.

Instead of being like most and only posting when you need something, maybe stick around and give us a post-hunt story or add something once in a while. We don’t ask much around here, just something to keep our minds off the real world for a few minutes.

There are 100 different cartridges that fire a 6.5mm bullet. Are you only looking for bullets or loaded rounds? Gotta be more specific

December hunts are cooler but i wouldn't say better than any other time of the year. The advantages are FAR fewer tags resulting in less pressure (unless there are OTC archery hunts at the same time), longer season, cooler weather and a chance of rutting activity near the end of the hunt. I prefer the early season hunts because i can draw them every year and the bucks are still in their summer patterns until the shooting starts. Being a nonresident, I'd suggest you stick to drawing your December tag then start applying for the earlier hunts where you can draw tags every year or two.

What lance said. I had a Lee and wasn’t impressed. I now hve an RCBS and it is a lot better but not perfect, especially when throwing powder that has large granules like H4831.

I need to do that. I eat the less desirable cuts first then lose the loins in the freezer when i put another deer in. Just added 120lbs of sitka blacktail and halibut. Never had a freezer this full. Tough problem to have.

Good to see the trophy finally make it's way back to the white mountains! It's been hard for the mountain boys to compete with private schools for the last 15 or so years. We (Queen Creek class of 2004) always ended up losing to Seton Catholic or Phoenix Christian in the semi's.

im the worst about my tenderloins. I always save them for a special occasion and end up not eating them until it's almost too late. That does look good!
