    Usery Archery Range

Last time i shot there i broke several arrows on targets as well. If the course was free, i’d understand but at around $5 average per shooter they need to maintain it. What is the money going towards? I know nobody is getting rich but they’ve gotta make several grand a week on that range. I also won’t be volunteering my time and money for something that is already being funded.

    Meat in the heat

You shouldn’t have a problem packing out a whole deer in one trip for 2.5 miles if the terrain isn’t too steep. Yeah, it sucks but honestly (unless it’s a BIG buck) we’re talkin about probably 60-80lbs if meat. Less if it’s a small one, slightly more on a big buck. I did 150lbs for about 3 miles a few years ago. it sucked but can be done. You’re young and it won’t take all the tread off your joints yet.

    A Note From Scout

My bloodhound is 11.5 and doesn’t have a lot of tread left on his tires. He’s been through about a dozen different “moms” and one less breakup with me. Man, they get old fast.

    loosing another Bashas

LeeLee market on dobson/elliot usually has aquariums of live dungeness crabs for about $8lb. Sometimes they even have live blue crabs. I go there every couple months and get a couple. They are fantastic. They have a LOT of fresh seafood there for pretty cheap but i don’t get too adventurous. Their seafood counter is probably 60’ long. Just wear a mask to protect yourself from the smell and the china flu.
  10. I’m no gunsmith but I’d shoot it and see what it does. You have documentation prior to firing it if for some reason it doesn’t shoot

    Swarovski BTX Question

nothing yet. I've only got 12's and a stack of cash waiting to be spent on optics. i ran 10x RF, 15's and a big spotter for years and liked that combination. can't decide if i want to go back to that or keep the 12's and just get a big spotter again. If someone made high end 12x50 RF binos I'd be sold. leaning to maybe trying the 18x56 Mavens, 10xRF and a spotter. I didn't draw any tags this year that i'll need serious glass for so i'll probably just wait a while. I've been through more optics than anyone i know. i usually only keep them for a season or two and sell them and change it up. no combination is perfect. i used the BTX more like a spotting scope than binoculars so it didn't make sense to replace my spotting scope with it.

    Swarovski BTX Question

I had the btx and sold it because i didn’t like the angle. I’ve been told that they won’t be able to produce a straight version for reasons outside of my education.
  17. Boarman, you seem VERY pro FFL. You have bought countless firearms on here since you joined. Have ANY of them gone through an FFL?

    Vacuum sealer options

This is a new company making processing equipment that is supposed to be top notch and reasonably priced. Their chamber sealer is tempting https://www.meatyourmaker.com/?gclid=Cj0KCQjwvIT5BRCqARIsAAwwD-QXVyMO0Kvaq9nx2I6IOLZUqDV5L7djWfFnL2qxRLstGnesxGbD69EaAo9rEALw_wcB

    Vacuum sealer options

I started wrapping mine in cellophane before putting it in a vacuum sealer probably 5 years ago and it seems to help. It also makes the sealing a process a little easier because it tends to hold some of the blood in and you don’t worry about it getting into the seal. Freezer bags always get little pinholes in them from clanking around on eachother in thr freezer and the cellophane is just another layer of protection when that happens.

    Dear Arizona Game & Fish,

There are people in AZ who apply 10+ people a year and have for some time. Doesn’t take very long, especially with point guard, to get to a spot where you draw primo tags every single year by piggy backing. I personally hate point guard and it is abused by a LOT of people. People should be able to turn tags in for emergencies but their reasoning should be reviewed.

    New Sig Cross rifle

They have my interest as well. Can’t get your hands on one though. Sounds like they are being pushed out to 2021 sometime with the whole covid BS.

Don't laugh but does anyone have....

i'll trade you my 24bp's for your rifle tag and you can turn them into 2 or 3 archery tags. Deal?

ISO WTB 17 HORNET, 17 REMINGTON OR FIREBALL

I’ve got a 17 rem fireball. If you’re looking for a rifle in one of the three mentioned, i would steer away from it. I love it but ammo is tough to find and a PITA to reload. 17 hornet would probably be your best bet currently.
