Hows everyone fairing with javelina hunts so far?
GreyGhost85 replied to Bigfish86's topic in Javelina
I saw a bunch of pigs at Pete’s Place last time i was in there. Pretty sure it’s in unit 22 -
The Gordon Buck
GreyGhost85 replied to Western Hunter's topic in Western Hunter and Elk Hunter Magazine
If it’s not a cactus buck, it has some other abnormality. “Normal” deer don’t grow like that. Unbelievable either way. There apparently is some amount of speculation surrounding it. Curious to see how it plays out -
Rumor has it, it will be displayed inside Trailriders in Eagar

Would like to sale this very rare deer mule mount
GreyGhost85 replied to Rebel76's topic in Classified Ads
Take one for the team trphyhntr. thanks for coming back Rebel76. Hunting season is all but over. We need someone to keep us entertained. I’m sure BassPro is going to give you an exceptional offer. That deer mule buck is much more impressive than any deer mule i have ever seen. Why is it rare? I am genuinely curious -
I’d pay extra NOT to look like Jay Scott......

What size and where are you located?
-
Well....these wont last long
-
I’d bet my bottom dollar it is in RV. Can’t tell but i know the man who got it and he lives there.
-
I can assure you, the guy that got it is not going to sell it.
-
Never put an arrow in it but i’ve driven by it at least 100 times. Always wondered when it was gonna fall. Been in bad shape for years. On the bright side though, now every single person that drives by it won’t have to uploada picture of it to social media.

Who is crazy enough to chase goats with a smokepole
GreyGhost85 replied to DeathFromBelow's topic in Antelope Hunting
Congrats. Always cool to see people doing it the old fashioned way. Id like to see more late muzzleloader elk hunts in AZ. Cut half the late rifle tags and make them late muzzleoader tags. G&F still make the money and far fewer bulls will get killed. -
I shoot the exact same one. Love it. Good luck with the sale. A price always helps though

Remington Model 600 243 question
GreyGhost85 replied to 257 STW's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
They sell on here often. They’re worth more than $275-$300 and are a MUCH better rifle than a savage axis or howa. Maybe not as accurate but much higher quality. Depends on the condition but i would say $500 +-. Lets see some pics -
Leupold VX 6 4-24x52 CDS T-MOA $1500 OBO

Is this the HD model? -
I’ve done the same thing. Always tastes great....for about 4-5 days, then it always tastes like a javelina to me. Maybe my taste buds are messed up but i stopped hunting them about 7 years ago because i have a hard time eating them

I’ve got the spotter. You could probably shake it out of me. I’ve developed a BTX itch

Unit 21 herd....Edit...Pics and story
GreyGhost85 replied to azelkhunter69's topic in Antelope Hunting
The arizona pronghorn population has taken a huge hit the last year or two. Drought, coyotes and habitat encroachment are to blame. Pronghorn live in flat areas which happen to be easier to develop. They are much more sensitive than deer or elk. -
Man...this post had SO much potential. Maybe Bob will hop on at 2:00am

That buck is unreal. Dream deer for sure. Congrats to all

It is an incredible animal but supposedly has been confirmed a hybrid. It does have a coues tail for sure but looks like it weighed 180lbs on the hoof.

Brent is building me a rifle right now as well. Pre-64 action, Proof barrel, Mcmillan stock. He does build a fine rifle.
