Conserve and Protect (Tags) Presentation at G&F Mtg

What did that sneaky asshole have to say this time? -
My personal opinion? Killed in a closed area (rez or 3c) and unloaded in a very distinct area of unit 23 for the pictures so nobody questions what unit it was killed in.

I'll just drop this here as a refresher. i'm no detective, but arrows through the heart usually leave some blood on the ground. should be especially easy to see with a fresh skiff of snow http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/topic/70726-once-in-a-lifetime-last-day-buck/?hl=bonecollector777&do=findComment&comment=701785

No he is on my wall . Like I said I love a good laugh ! Keep them coming cowboy ! Can you honestly say that your brother recovered that buck where the photos were taken? As soon i saw the photos i figured there had to be something fishy going on.

Comments about banning riflescopes, binoculars, camo, compound bows, fishfinders, quads, etc. are the reason this is going to pass. Sad. There are a lot of good and INTELLIGENT arguments for trail camera use but 99% have been almost laughable. -

What about permits for trail cameras? Each trail camera in use would require a permit and each individual is only allowed "x" number of permits? It would be a way for them to control the amount of cameras out there and would generate extra revenue. That extra revenue might even help towards fighting the extra auction tags they're proposing now?No way to enforce it. Guides will have cameras registered under them, their wife, kids, parents, grand parents, etc. the ban will either not happen, or it will be wide sweeping is my guess. Too many loopholes any other way. A statewide season on trail cams, say feb 1st to aug 31st or something would probably be the only way to find any middle ground. -

I am pro-camera for the record. I enjoy running them as much as the next guy. I don’t however run them on water so i don’t feel too strongly one way or another on this proposed ban. I did listen to the meeting last night, as well as reading a lot of “suggestions” from sportsmen and i must say, i have not seen or heard many compelling arguments. I have heard people comparing trail cams to fish finders, incorporating a type of season similar to the no-fly rule, one guy kept harping about if he has a camera on a tank now, his grandson couldn’t legally shoot an elk off the tank ever if they end up being banned, one guy suggesting to ban outfitters and guides etc. Sir Royal’s suggestion on this thread seems to be one of the better ones but all in all, man....... -

If the bag limit on deer or elk was 10 a day, this argument would hold more water. Or if bass were much less common, weighed 1,000lbs and people spent a ton of money or waited many years to have the opportunity to catch one. -
I went from being a very competitive target archer to not being able to accurately shoot more than 40 yards because of TP. Havent put in the time to fix the problem and have tried several releases that are supposed to fix the issue. I now sit blinds where my shots will be inside 30 yards because of it. It is incredibly frustrating. That being said, i have a carter evolution and ringer release id give you a good deal on if youd like to try one. They seem to help a lot of people.

Sad to say, but camping at Happy Jack on memorial day weekend is where you went wrong
-
Is that AM or PM? Pretty fishy if it is AM. Keep the working man out of the meeting
-
Any good Memorial Day sales? Post if you know.

The supoorters know d@mn good and well that if they get one raffle tag it will very soon turn into a couple hundred raffles and a couple dozen auction tags. All they need is a foot hold. Its kinda like the 2nd ammendment battle. Do people really need full auto machines guns? Probably not. Would a few raffle tags kill us? Probably not. Like i have said before, it REALLY bothers me that Sneaky Pete is not even willing to listen to alternatives and that we as sportsmen are basically having to try to convince an outfit, that should not have ANY say in what is done with our tags in the first place, not to take them. The scary part is, last time they came at us, the commission was against it. This time, the commission is licking their chops at the idea. Isnt it weird that Sneaky Pete, amongst other CAPAZ members are on the commossioner appointing board? Isnt it wierd that Sneaky Pete always talks about million-dollar donors if this passes? Somebody is going to get rich off of this and it most definitely will not be Average Joe Hunter. -

People attend the banquet in hopes of getting a tag back that was stolen from them. Doesnt mean they agree with it. -
