I know a couple people that have tried these and had a hard time getting them to group. Standard and magnum slick tricks shoot great. They even group good out of my dads crossbow shooting 400fps.
-
My advice is just make sure whatever you shoot is sharp, tough and accurate. I also feel like 400gns total arrow weight should be a minimum. Ive been on a lot of archey elk kills and there is always a lot of breath holding no matter the shot. For elk, and deer for that matter, i like a broadhead that is going to cut a big hole and cause a lot of blood loss.

Similar to my experience. Absolute 12 ring pass through. Watched him bed for over an hour, he got up and jumped a fence. Had to sneak in and put a couple more arrows in him. First shot was dead center double lung, but didnt bleed much and there was no hemorrhaging. His whole chest cabity was full of air and the last shot was like shooting a balloon. It was weird. A G&F biologist came by later and said she had never seen such a thing. I attributed it to a dull broadhead that pushed through, rather than cutting

I shot a big bull with a montec probably 10 years ago. Killed him but was not at all pleased with the performance. I dont feel like they are sharp enough. Switched to slick tricks and have put a bunch of animals on the table without any issues

Your feeling on the proposed trail camera restriction (ban)
GreyGhost85 replied to Capt. Don Martin's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I agree on the ban of live action trail cameras. There are people that really take advantage of what could be a cool scouting tool. Flooding an area and waiting for the target animal to show up on a camera, then going in there to shoot it. -

Anyone else find it funny that we are trying to convince an outside group, that should have no say in it, to not take our tags?

Its really black and white here. Auction tag money goes to AZGFD for education. The rich auction tag buyers will then in turn donate lots of money to CAPAZ.....but they will only donate if the tag grab passes. -
I believe that is 300 rCm not rUm

The agenda is obvious. Nobody can say otherwise. We’ve been lied to about what the funds are going to be spent on, we’ve been lied to about what the funds can be spent on. CAP does not want to hear about alternative ways to raise money. The rich donors they refer to will only donate if they get more auction tags. Lets call a spade a spade. This IS a tag grab -

Ended up not getting off work in time. Somebody that attended the meeting, please give us an update -
ADA has not to my knowledge. CAP changed their meeting time last week, a couple hours before it was to start
-
They'll change the time right before it starts like they did last time, then say that nobody showed up

I'm FINALLY hours and hours deep into this deal between Jay's podcasts, 23 pages of reading, mulling through multiple websites, and feel like I can have an opinion here... but this is also my understanding. There have been a number of points raised throughout and this is one that I have not picked up on a single response to support otherwise. Has this question been answered anywhere yet? No, and nobody will answer it. We are a bunch of deplorables that don’t know what is good for us. They have walked in circles and sidestepped around every good question that gets thrown at them, only answering questions that are to their own benefit. They say that money can only be raised in certain ways, legally, yet that money still can’t be spent for politcal purposes, legally. Makes no sense. The execs at CAP are the commissioner appointing board, which recently appointed our new commissioner that just so hallens to be all about this. This BS idea could not get more red tape wrapped around it if they tried to
