Winchester featherlight model 70 in 270win w/boss system

What action does this have? -
Sorry, but nobody on earth would purposely hit an elk with their vehicle. I wouldnt even know how a person could do it on purpose. Elk dont just stand there in open fields waiting to be run over.

I think this is him in 2017. Never got any pictures of him in 2016, but i didnt run cameras very much that year. Hes got a pretty distinctive brown coat and pot belly. I apologize in advance for the poor image quality on this one. Dang rotated pictures.

I used a Miculek ar10 brake on my 6.5 creedmore. Cheap and seems to work very well. -
Air Gun coming to archery seasons in AZ
GreyGhost85 replied to Huntermichael's topic in The Campfire
It cracks me up how people think crossbows are as deadly as rifles. First 200 yards, then 300 yards, now 1 groups at 100 yards? Lol. The majority of factory rifles cant group like that- 98 replies

Air Gun coming to archery seasons in AZ
GreyGhost85 replied to Huntermichael's topic in The Campfire
300 yards now! Wow! My dad has a crossbow permit (artificial shoulders, artificial knees, many hip/back surgeries) i have shot them quite a bit. They require much less skill than a regular bow. That being said, they are not 200+ yard killing machines. I can shoot my bow more accurately than my dad can his crossbow. I would venture to say that legitimate disabled hunters using crossbows, or even an airbow, will still be much less efficient and deadly than a skilled archer. I bet less than 1% of animals harvested with archery tackle in AZ are done so with crossbows. Like everyone else is saying, we have bigger fish to fry gentlemen.- 98 replies

200 yards? No. What is the difference in one of these and a crossbow that shoots 450fps? I agree crossbow permits should be harder to get, but for law abinding citizens that are actually disabled, these are not an issue. Go after g&f not being so loosey goosey with crossbow permits, not the people that need them.- 98 replies

Funny. Author of this post is posing behind a high fenced kudu. What is more sporting? A handicapped person using an airbow or shooting a captive animal?- 98 replies

Air Gun coming to archery seasons in AZ
GreyGhost85 replied to Huntermichael's topic in The Campfire
Crossbows are only legal during archery season for handicapped hunters that qualify for a license. The pneumatic weapons they are referring to have to shoot arrows as well and do not really offer much advantage over a modern crossbow. I am assuming the reason behind this is handicapped people that qualify for crossbow licenses have difficulty cocking their crossbow. The Benjamin Air Bow is the type of weapon they are describing. We have bigger issues to worry about than handicapped people shooting an airbow.- 98 replies

He REALLY surprised me. Trail cam pictures are very deceiving, it seems like all the bucks we have trail cam pics of are bigger on the ground than in photos. I thought he was 107-110". I sat for this buck the first day of the season but switched to a different spot on day 2 that had a bigger buck hitting more often. This buck only showed up 4-5 times in a 2 year span, so i thought the odds of killing him were slim. My dad went spot and stalk hunting in the morning on day 2 and after breakfast, decided to sit this blind. 45 minutes later this buck came running in and he shot him. He ended up scoring right around 118". i can't remember exactly but if i remember right, he has 18"+ main beams and around 38" of mass.

Shhhhh! The buck Nick shot is standing under the tree on the far right side of the last photo Did Nick really shoot that deer? I assumed you or your dad shot it for him since he won't show me the video. I think so? He was in the blind alone. I only saw it once and that was on his viewfinder.

Big bodied, eastern AZ deer. In the last photo, the deer in the background is a muley doe for reference.

Twist a good choke into one of the guns you have and go hunting. I doubt a turkey can tell a difference
