200" 3-point?! Must have some trash?
-
I passed 17 bucks that came into my blind last weekend. Waiting for the one. I think he is the only buck that didn't show.
-
I travel there a LOT. Through payson will be an absolute zoo this weekend. Go through globe and the salt river canyon. It's always faster. I've done the trip from the valley to eagar hundreds of times.

Sure it wasn't a raccoon carcass? Nah, G&F confirmed it was a bear Let's see if this thread blows up too. :-) All joking aside. That is a pretty bear. Congrats to the hunter

That's a grey fox. Nothing more, nothing less. Very common

Dirt/Trail Bike for getting into remote areas
GreyGhost85 replied to brademan76's topic in Other Hunting Gear
Those Rokons look awesome. The price tag though? Not awesome. Could buy used ranger for the same price -
Ever used one of them viewers like this https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00WHTQHCC/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1504128293&sr=8-4&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=trail+camera+viewer&dpPl=1&dpID=51vqQne8rsL&ref=plSrch Are they any faster No, i've never used one of those. I don't think you can save or delete photos with those

Take these operations for what they are. I had a friend who ran a similar place in New Mexico. Shot a corsican ram with a recurve. It is not "hunting" but is cheap, can be fun and can put some meat in the freezer. Decent places to break the monotony of the offseason lull.

Yeah, you scroll through and save what you want. I have the "boneview". Seems to work pretty good but the pics load a lot slower than on a computer. Good for looking at maybe a couple hundred pics but not for when you're sorting through thousands of photos

Tease. Will more pictures, story, and score be shared. I appreciate the low key thing, but Pandora's Box is now open, and I want as many details on that thing as possible. Amazing buck. clear out your inbox

Was wondering when that buck would make it on here. Wes is my cousin. Great buck, and an incredible story. He and his Dad get it done on huge animals very low key every year. Couple of real ranchers and cowboys. It's been scored. Should crush the current WR, depending on whether or not he strips the velvet. Probably the biggest archery coues ever killed either way.
-
What year? Controlled round or push feed?
-
Like the title says. Need to get some velvet frozen. Not a complete mount. Any local taxidermists have a freeze dryer?
-
At least mcgregor isn't a woman beater. I'll be watching as i admire the GIANT coues my dad arrowed this morning. Will be a good night capper to an unbelievable day.

I bought a zomei carbon fiber tripod off amazon last season and replaced the head with a manfrotto 700rc2 head. Very light, sturdy and compact tripod for about $200 with the different head. I've spent a good 100 hours on it at this point and am still very happy with the purchase. I've been through a lot of tripods and for the price, this setup would be really hard to beat.

Here's some pretty classy lookin ones. https://rlocustomleather.com/t/rifle-butt-stock-covers-with-cheek-rest

I was in the same position recently. Went with a leupold vx3i cds 4.5-14x40. Great scope with a turret and has the classic look to it

Open window or through the mesh
GreyGhost85 replied to AzDiamondHeat's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
I've shot a lot of fixed blades through mesh. Cannot see enough POI shift to concern me. The mesh conceals you SO much better than an open window. -
Has anyone shot a swhacker through mesh?
GreyGhost85 replied to trphyhntr's topic in Bows, arrows, broadheads
I wouldn't do it. Only mechanical i've ever seen shot through mesh opened up and and i'm pretty sure it is still orbiting the earth -
Great desert buck for sure. I bet he finishes 26-28" wide.

^ this. Shooting off a lead sled doesn't let your rifle's recoil be absorbed like a shoulder does. The sudden stop causes things to move/come loose. Like a car hitting a block wall compared to the said car hitting a shock absorbing barricade.
