You ever make it to the valley?

These are sold pending funds and meet up

Like the title says, I am selling a pair of Zeiss 15x60 BGA-T* binos with the rubber eye cups. It will probably be regretted, but they're not getting much use. Anyone that knows these old Zeiss, knows the BGA-T* models are the best and hardest to come by. These are great binoculars. For their age, they're still in really good shape. There is a small scratch on one of the ocular lenses you can see in the pics. It doesn't seem to really affect anything and you can't see when you look through them. Other than that the lenses are in fantastic shape. I'll include a pretty nice carrying case and they come with a good tripod adapter installed. Asking $1200 OBO.

yes, they're BGA-T*. supposed to be better than the regular B (BGA) model

Back up. Someone has gotta need some good binos. Make an offer

27 is going to be an aspen jungle in a few more years

i'm a huge fan of meatloaf. Steven Rinella has a great mozzarella stuffed recipe that i tweak a little bit.

that's the kind of sow that i don't mind being killed. good chance she wouldn't make it through the winter. congrats! i bet she's 20+ years old. definitely past breeding age i would guess

the quality and quantity of bulls in 27 this year is WAAAAAY down. the 500 bulls they have killed in there every year since the burn has finally made a huge impact. the age class is way down as well. when you see raghorns pushing cows in 27 it's a sad day. G&F has to do something to right this. the late hunt in there since the burn has been nothing but a slaughter.

I've found the same thing before. I chalked it up to the buck dying when he was fairly close to shedding. I another found a dead head one time that had GIANT pedicles. I'm sure it was a huge buck, but never found the antlers. i figured he died shortly after shedding

They probably aren't gone because you can buy them brand new right now for $1999 through the end of the year so some swarovski items are probably temporarily down in resale value

Remington Custom .243 SPS Ti Alaskan Stock--Reloaded Ammo and Brass
GreyGhost85 replied to azbullelkman's topic in Classified Ads
I'm going out on a limb here but i think it's the stock barrel. looks like a standard model 700 that has an aftermarket stock and the trigger adjusted is all. -
The rings i use are xtreme hardcore gear rings. I always torque to 20. The rifle was loaned out and i think either a horse ran the rifle into a tree real hard or someone put extra torque on the rings to make sure they wouldn't come loose on the pack trip. Either way, i got it figured out. I'm sure burris will make it right.

I think they charge 1k for every inch over 360" is how they get you

Pic #3 though.... thanks for sharing

The make and model of the scope that went haywire is a Burris Veracity 5-25. I have been very happy with the scope and like i said, the scope was not defective, it was damaged.
-
I'll put it back on when i get it replaced. The rings crushed the scope tube a little bit. Not sure if it was over torque or impact. I've got my theories about what happened. It does not look like a manufacturer defect. I borrowed and put a brand new in box vortex viper pst on it and after one shot there is a piece of debris floating around inside the scope. Gotta love Vortex.

Well, got back to the range and it turned out to be a bad scope after all. It will be en-route to the factory for repair/replacement on monday. Thanks for the help everyone

Yeah, try a different powder. H1000 or retumbo would be my starting point -

Fluting a Factory Heavy Barrel?
GreyGhost85 replied to Hoss50's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
I would think that fluting a factory barrel would cost nearly as much as just having a new fluted barrel installed? -
So, someone in your party killed a bull with a muzzle loader that had been previously wounded in the archery hunt? Or you happened upon a dead bull with a pocket full of projectiles lodged in it?
-
so, the dead bull you found was hit by potentially 3 different people? 2 different broadheads and a muzzle loader?
