You can “limit” firearms all you want. There are so many in circulation that if someone wants a gun, they’ll get a gun. I’m 100% pro 2A. You think a CCW permit is going to make sure a bad guy doesn’t get a gun? The way i see it, the only way to defeat a bad guy with a gun is with another gun.

Good on ya man. A good friend i worked with for about 10 years was able to quit a few months ago and pursue taxidermy full time and in your neck of the woods. Glad i still get the good guy treatment as he already has to turn people away so he can keep a good turnover time . Lots of people want taxi work these days.

I think i’ve shot all but one with my M70 featherweight .264 win mag. Nothing fancy at all. I don’t shoot all that far and i like a very light rifle so I’ve just stuck with a Leupold VX3i 4.5-14 CDS. It has worked real well for what i need. 130gn ELDM’s at 3400fps.

My idea of “big” is probably different than most. I try to shoot deer that i think are 5+ years old. Anyways, here are the last 4. I’m pretty sure i’ve posted a story of each over the years

Thanks for the replies everyone. Funny how luck works sometimes. I usually scout a TON and i’m lucky if i get a glimpse of a target buck during the hunt. My brother jumped this one up and it just gave him a good enough look to know he was worth going after. It took all of 30 minutes to find him. The nasty packout made up for the easy hunt though. This one makes 5 “big” bucks in a row for me.

I have several of that exact model and love them. Light, no frills, hold their zero, etc.

If it wasn’t abused and it was an honest system, it would be great. There is one thing that the recipients of the primo “donated” tags have in common $$$$

This and people “donating” their tag and using point guard. I would like to see how many tags in arizona are drawn on party apps with the help of point guard, or surrendered and point guarded. I bet the number is staggering.

I would be all about it but the damage is already done and G&F is probably done paying them anyways because it no longer benefits them. It is no secret that we are losing all otc hunts because of it. G&F will still find other ways to spend our money in areas that do not benefit wildlife like what i’m imagining this point guard premium membership BS is. They know they’re going to lose a ton of revenue when OTC hunts are gone and this will be a way to make up for it. I do appreciate your involvement but there are much larger issues to tackle.

The people that take advantage of point guard do not care what it costs. It could be $1000 and it wouldn’t matter. What is a “donated” sheep tag worth? The tag donations have also bogged down the max bp pool substantially… and WTF is point guard plus membership? Probably a way to make tag “donations” easier and more frequent.

I’ll sign it when we have a petition for point guard and a solution for people taking advantage of(and a paycheck for) "tag donation”. Paying influencers is BS but all you gotta do is cap non-rez otc tags and it all becomes irrelevant.

That will be an adventure and a half. I hunted blacktail this last year on Kodiak. It is a ROUGH place for sure. You need to get in shape mentally as much or than physically. I never felt like my level of physical condition prohibited me from hunting any harder than i did but your brain will likely tell you to quit several times. Positive attitude and good clothing are the most important things to bring with you

The nightforce is made by meopta. It is the exact same spotter as the Meostar S2. Quality is right up there with the big guys. I’ve had both zeiss and swaro NON HD and this spotter is better. Probably just slightly below the HD models of the big 3.
