Get in shape! Love 27. It's my stomping grounds. I am a fan of the archery hunts after early rifle, should be a much better rut. Early Rifle shouldn't have much impact being that there are so few tags. Your success will depend on how hard you are willing to hunt. 27 is in my opinion the most physical elk unit

It should. pretty sure pretty much all AR parts are interchangable regardless of brand

Post #1. Always love it. -
Thanks Chris! That looks a lot better

Really wish i would have not only had a better photographer, But been in a better place for good pics

I have the zeiss and they are great. Solid investment. I think comparing them with the euros is about like comparing 6 to a half dozen though. Clarity and price are basically identical. Find which one feels better for you, and you won't be disappointed.

I edited. 402" gross. Net high 380's

The bull in my avatar must only be 360 thenNo yours is actually a big elk. Id say in the 390-410 range. The pic here is deceiving. Look at the size and length of his head compared to the antlers. Yes his 3rds are very long which is why i put him at 340 instead of 325-330. I bet his mains are not evn 50". Probably only 45" mains. The right side 4th in his pic is only 14" or so. Left side bigger. Just my opinionYou nailed it on the score of my bull. 402" to be exact. Touchè. Still think the bull the OP posted is 350-360. Elk season is too far away. Got us all worked up over a few inches. Kinda like trphyhunter's girlfriends! Haha jkin

I haul my regular laptop. Some small laptops and tablets lack memory to download multiple SD cards full with pics.
-
And i though 335" was low......looks massive, good tine length, huge 3rds. Probably not real wide, i'm gonna say 350+

First time archery elk hunting Unit 6B - Advice on materials and scouting

Quality has gotten so bad on big box company diaphragms. Seems like about 2 out of 10 will sound good and the same. I would order a couole different diaphragms from Phelps game calls. They are way better and more consistent than any other companies right now -
good lookin mount. did you guys drop it off at the taxidermist in 2013?
-
definitely not a huge bull. what an idiot though. he woulda been real upset if that fell off or he got rear ended or something

Really you should just go post a thousand more times or go update your Fakebook status.says the guy with over 1,000 posts. over 4 years. Sorry I spend my time in the field not comparing sack size to everyone elseIf you'll notice, it has taken me 9 more years than you to reach a thousand posts. Invalid. Good try though. Do those A3 coat tails provide a bumpy ride?WOW tough guy now I ride A3 coat tails? LOL your funny. HEY got any pics?Tough guy? Haha. I actually grew up with chad and shane. Not bashing A3, just get tired of all their big mouthed cronies. You must be 8' tall and bulletproof the way you bash and belittle everyone. If you're not affiliated with them, then why do you constantly defend them and bash everyone that disagrees. Get a life

Oh man. We might hit 100 pages now
-
That's my biggest complaint with the draw this year is it might interfere with the colorado deadline.
-
I prefer shooting trout in the waterI see what you did there:)haha! I vaguely remember. Maybe you can remind the class of that incident, 100 pager here we come! hopefully the old trout shooter is in here. maybe we could even get naturegirl back in here? trophyhunter, might have to take another one for the team

Is a 8 gauge to much gun for crow? That would be unethical.

Well said gotcoues. While i don't agree with damaging nature or 20 cams on a maintained tank, it seems like most people that are strongly against trail cameras are because they lack the dedication/time/funds to run them. I too have been running cameras for i think 12 years now and if anyone thinks it is an unfair advantage, they need to try it for themselves and see what it is. In my hunting party, i can think of maybe 3 bucks we have killed that we had on camera. It is more of a hobby than anything for the overhwhelming majority of people that use them. People need to smart and respectful when using them and the majority of them probably are but like many things, the 1% are going to ruin it for the 99%

Swaro 15x56 SLC (non hd) vs vortex kaibab 15x56 hd
GreyGhost85 replied to Coueshunter77's topic in Optics and tripods
I rank them in this order. Swaro HD, Zeiss HD, Swaro non HD, kaibabs quite a way behind. Buy used swaros or zeiss instead of new kaibabs all day. I have spent a lot of time behind all of them, minus cabelas euro (meopta) but they are probably right there with zeiss HD.
