yeah, i love that buck. double main beam and a few kickers. tried really hard to run into him with a bow and then rifle but never did lay eyes on him.
-
I would shoot it first. Those accustocks are better than a lot of people think
-
Good call. Snagged 2 of em

So, it's unethical to hunt with a .338 but totally fine to lob rainbows at 1200 yards out of a 6.5? Haha, what a piece of work. Got backed into a corner and bring out the oldest insult in the book, the ol' compensation joke. I also drive a lifted truck. Man, i must be 5' tall and hung like a mosquito.
-
Yup, love ke everyone else said. Face it north and knock down the grass best you can
-
Don't worry Big or Bust, the ballistic expert badmouthed me a while back for hunting with a .338 Lapua and asked why i don't just shoot a grenade launcher. You would think a "BC Guru" would agree with shooting it.
-
Congrats. Looks like a blast. If you don't mind sharing some details about the hunt, ranch, outfitter? I tried to PM you but your box is full
-
Maybe volunteer to help out on some youth hunts with G&F here in AZ? Would probably be a good way to learn a few things and help out some kids along the way.

Donald Trump on Guns & Hunting
GreyGhost85 replied to Snapshot's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I was shocked to see trump jr on jay scott. Great listen. BIG guest to have, good work Jay -
but then you would be shooting a savage.... I agree. It was a jagged pill to swallow for me. Glad i did though. Still beats a weatherby though
-
you wouldn't have to worry about rolling any windows down before you pull the trigger with that rig
-
I had a .264 sendero for years, up until a few months ago. Really sweet rig, just heavy. Glad to see they are going to start making them again
-
I have a savage lrh in 338 lapua though. No BS, shoots .25MOA. Sub .5" groups at 200 yards consistently. They do seem kind of "cheap" but for whatever reason, they really shoot well. Most bang for your buck IMHO
-
I shoot 285 amax's out of my .338 and can attest to their performance on elk. I'm sure you would get similar results with the 208's. This is a mushroom recovered out of a big 350"+ bull at nearly 700 yards angling slightly towards. Bullet entered behind the shoulder and was found in front of the opposite hip under the just under the skin

Good heII. That is a huge cat

I was thinking the same thing about you

Ted Cruz wants feds to dump all puclic land

A friend shot a 365" velvet 6x7 pretty much in town in Eagar on one of those a few years back. Seemed real legit to me
