I work in Tempe by Sky Harbor if you want to check it out.

If you want to fish for Trout. I'd recommend Willow, Blue Ridge or Black Canyon for close lakes. Big lake or Reservation if you want to go for a drive and really get away. There is always the Colorado river if you want to fish a river. Check motor restrictions up by Lees Fairy. I have heard great things about the Colorado River over by CA, I think you put in by Needles then fish the slues south a few miles. Also heard the fishing is good down by Yuma on the river. Cant go wrong with Powell or Saguaro. Good Luck!

Compact Rifle . . .Which one?
AZ_SAWBUCK replied to Flatlander's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
I bought a Ruger American .22-250 to have a nice light rifle to carry when out scouting and riding in the backcountry. I love it! Very accurate and feels nice in the shoulder and has nice trigger pull with a adjustable trigger. I assume a larger caliber will shoot just as good but might need a brake. -
I love Google Earth! Great way to find roads or trails into an unfamiliar area.

I spent a summer up in Idaho north of Boise years ago. The locals up there went crazy over them. I thought they were pretty good. The ones we picked were Christmas tree shaped and kind of a vanilla color. We found them in heavily shaded areas of the woods that had lots of moisture and moss. I have never seen them in AZ.

Where are you located and would you be interested in a trade for a 22-250?

You need that Strip tag! Might have to wait another 8 years to get it........but you should hold out!

Never tried this but I hear it's a good way to cook those Javi's! 1. Nail meet to a board. 2. Light board and meet on fire. 3 Take out of fire. 4. Throw meet away and eat the board! Let us know how it goes!

2014 Coues Deer Kill Distances Poll
AZ_SAWBUCK replied to Little Creek Calls's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Good theory. I think I'll but down the .300 win mag with turrets and bust out the .22-250 this year ( that is if I get drawn). Besides I could use a season off from carrying that .300 custom build. Good topic......... Way to start a fight too. Lol -
Now this is starting to sound like some weird drug deal..............
